This company is ahead of the game in every aspect.These temperature monitors are a breeze to set up, like all other x-sense products, connecting seamlessly to the sbs50 base station, with incredible range too.I have put 2 of these in the outbuilding which we use as a gym. Now I can ask alexa "whats the temperature in the gym" and immediately I get an up to date answer. Also you can check the readings in the x-sense app as well as see all the historical data.The only problem I have is that the sbs50 base station supports up to 50 devices. I am now around 45 devices in, from home security, outdoor solar lights and smoke alarms. I hope they provide an update to increase this to allow more devices to be added!

Three weeks use so far and working great, easy to set up and accurate readings.

The sensor is as well made and easy to connect to the base station as others of this make, in my case smoke and CO detectors. Real time indications of temperature and relative humidity are clearly displayed in the app, and historical data can be read from the graphs. The resolution of temperature is 0.1°C, but humidity readings are coarser and the resolution appears variable, with 48.8%, 51.2%, and 52% being indicated, but no figures in between; the graph is rather angular. This is only disappointing because the system in other respects works so well.The alarm functions work as they should, and limits for temperature and humidity are quickly and easily set in the app. This is useful, reminding me to close my elderly mother’s bedroom door to keep the room warm, if she forgets to do so.It would be very useful if these could be interrogated by other home automation systems, eg Smart Life, but I don’t think this is currently possible.

Good looking and can be easily placed anywhere

After difficulties setting up not helped by no help from x-sense I finally got things up and running myself which was quite easy in the end.I bought this to monitor temperatures around my house while I’m away during the winter time to save having the heating on unnecessarily. All sensors have no problem communicating with the base station even the one outside in my garage.Good value for the money which I’m sure I can recoup on my gas bill. I can see the temperatures around my property via the mobile app, I am alerted when the present temperature is reached. With the heating controlled via my mobile phone I can switch this on when only needed.

My first time using X-Sense and I had the base station + 4 thermo-hygrometers set up within about 20 minutes. It could only have been quicker/easier if the second set of provides batteries had not been dead out of the packet.
