I purchased the JBL Xtreme 4 (Blue) using Amazon’s monthly installment plan, which made the purchase much more manageable. I am very happy with this JBL speaker . The sound is great , and love the bass . It stays crisp and not distorted at high volume . The setup was very easy and connected to Wifi automatically.Its high quality and sturdy . The strap that came with it it made strong and adjustable.I think it was a great value for the money.The best portable speaker i ever bought !

The JBL Xtreme 4 has blown me away. It’s much louder than my previous speaker, and the sound quality is incredible. I’ve taken it jogging, river rafting, and even on vacation. It handled mud, sand, and being fully submerged in water for 15–20 minutes — and still worked perfectly afterward. The battery life also really impressed me; even at full volume, it lasted a solid 6 hours in the sun and water. Great sound and i love the fact that it comes with a full power charger not just the wire and a heavy duty carrying strap. Easy to pair, download the app and update the software. I’m very happy with this purchase.

By far the best Bluetooth speaker you can get in this size.The sound is amazing. (One would expect nothing less from JBL). Plenty of power for a party outside without having the entire neighborhood hear you. The base transducers on the sides add a significant about of lower frequencies that are hard to believe from such a reasonably sized speaker. The highs are clear and crisp the mids have a bit of that JBL warmth ...amazing all around.Dust and water proof.There is an app to let you run some upgrades and adjust EQ settings.That battery just lasts and lasts and is also replaceable (couple of screws).I had a previous version of this speaker, it had a very annoying and difficult to open charger port cover.This one eliminates both the cover and the proprietary charger. The speaker can now be charged via USB-C which automatically detects presence of water. The cover is no longer needed.There is even a bottle opener on the shoulder strap to make this already speaker even more practical and perfect.

This speaker does exactly what you want a portable speaker to do at this price point. The sound is good but that bass is where this product shines over its Sony counterpart. I have seen a lot of reviews saying the Sony Ult Field 5 has more bass than the JBL Xtreme 4 but through my testing, the JBL wins out with much cleaner, punchier low end. For a portable speaker, I feel having proper bass is the most important thing which is why I love the Xtreme 4.Additionally the speaker is pretty lightweight, which makes it easy to put in a carryon bag for travel. The removable battery is great if you ever need to replace it. The IP67 rating for water and dust resistance is up to standard so I have no worry’s when brining the speaker outside on the beach or by the pool.I haven’t used the Auracast feature yet and was a little bummed when I realized I couldn’t connect my old JBL Pulse 3 with my new Xtreme 4 . But from my understanding, Auracast is a big upgrade in Bluetooth functionality.Overall, I am very happy with this speaker and would recommend it over its competitors.

Sounds great. The low end is not as prominent as I would like, even after making adjustments through the app. Connection is consistent and the battery life is impressive.

Great speaker. Was between this and the anker equivalent model but stuck with this due to compatibility with other JBL speakers which I own. Sounds great on boats and jobsites, and seems to be holding up to abuses of jobsite. Its a little large but the speaker makes up for that in volume.
