It's not mulți layer, just a simple foam with a sticky side

This seems to be good material, almost matching the gaskets on old tractor lights I replaced. The adhesive sticks, but it also forgiving for slight repositioning.

It worked well for sealing the holes and gaps around the window unit. It is thinner than I expected but it does what it claims it does.

It does NOTHING for sound blocking or sound deadening door panels. Neoprene is a great thermal insulator, it sticks very well. Thermal insulated exposed metal on the firewall .. car stays much cooler in the summer, holds heat in the winter.I glued it over 50mil Butyl mat that actually deadens engine / road noise.

After reviewing numerous types of replacement insulation for the inside of my air handler I chose this neoprene insulation. This neoprene insulation rolls out nicely, is easily cut to length or shape and it provides an excellent insulation barrier. I have had it installed for more than 6 weeks and no more air handler “sweating” (condensation dripping). In addition, this insulation does not deteriorate in water. Great product.
