EZVIZ C3A Indoor/Outdoor Battery Camera

I now have a couple of these, the battery seems to last well, I like being able to put them where needed easily and that they don't seem to suffer from false alarms re light bouncing through the windows as some of the others do. I use indoors as well as occasionally putting outdoors to monitor the nocturnal creatures visiting our garden, surprising what you capture.

This is a nice camera, however, the poor quality of the battery makes it practically useless. After being fully charged the battery lasts around 3 days. I am using SD card to store the data instead of the cloud but this should not be a reason for such a short battery life.

Easy to install. Happy with the purchase as does exactly what I require it to do. Very clear if you have the sun coming from behind however goes to grey scale if not enough light although picture is still clear. 30 days free cloud storage, shame this couldn't be a free service. Prices for the cloud service are reasonable and worth investing in if you require. Also believe this is a consumer version of the Hikvision brand which some people recommend for CCTV.

Purchased this camera but it didn't record to the SanDisk 128GB card I inserted, contacted Ezviz Customer Services to be told it doesn't work with this make of card, to use a Kingston 128GB card. Yet they advertise it with a SanDisk memory card. It proved more trouble than it's worth that I ended up returning it. Would I recommend it to a friend, definitely not. There are better Ezviz cameras for half the price and less trouble to set up and they take SanDisk sd cards.

It will not detect through the windows

Fantastic camera day and night vision sound quality is very good I now sleep better mowing that me and my husband and 2 dogs are safe. Would highly recommend this product. Arrived very quickly with prime. Thank you

I have been having problems with my camera picking up motion detection alarm to send to phone. Camera works when looking at live feed. It doesnt work or do anything when I stand in front of the camera. After working with support team an issue wasn’t resolved

So I've used it for a year before we moved houses and it was rather mediocre. Daytime it was okay but movement detection was hit and miss. Sometimes it would give a false positive because of a bird other times it would completely miss a car going by. Nighttime the camera is even worse. Motion detection is extremely poor and picture quality was terrible. Through experimentation I figured out that it gets a bit better if there is no visible source of light in camera's field of view. Then picture quality gets a bit better and motion detection becomes a bit less useless. That being said it's still not ideal. Curiously, battery that is at the core of many bad reviews was never an issue for me. It lasted anywhere between 20 to 40 days which is actually not bad. Now that we've moved I thought I'd give it another chance. However, when setting it up the application requires location services on my phone to be enabled.... why?! You can not proceed with adding the camera without it too. If you are concerned with your privacy/security even a little bit then do not buy this camera for the following reasons: - Firstly, there is absolutely no reason for it to care about your location. - Secondly, network traffic goes via their cloud infrastructure partly so that they can sell you cloud storage service and partly because it's the only reliable way of delivering motion detection notifications to your mobile. - Thirdly, you do not know who has access to what in that infrastructure. There have been a number of cases that made it to news where people were able to see someone else's camera instead of their own. Each of the above is not a huge issue on its own but when combined they become a problem. I also have a few choice words about their door camera/bell device, so trust me when I say - avoid Ezviz.
