I've tried so many brands of saffron and this is definitely one of the best. The packaging is really cute and exactly what I expected from the pictures. The saffron itself has good color from the start, so it didn't surprise me that it gives a deep color to whatever you're using it for (tea and rice for me). It smelled great. The flavor was strong and exactly what I wanted when I was looking for a high quality saffron. This was just an overall great purchase, and glad I found this!

I love making saffron tea during this time of year. This saffron is of very high quality - all red stigmas, arrives fast, in beautiful packaging, and is very aromatic. This is my second time purchasing from this vendor. I went ahead and ordered multiple tins since I plan on giving some out for Christmas. When the order arrived I decided to open one up to examine the saffron. First and foremost, the packaging and design is excellent. I love the presentation and material used to keep the saffron in. Once I lifted the lid off the tin, I instantly smelled a fresh floral aroma and I fell in love right away. My morning teas have never tasted soo good! Thank you Mazaeus Saffron!!

I have personally never used saffron before, so can't compare to anything else. The quality seemed excellent. I wanted to try expanding my rice cooking experience and a friend suggested that I try saffron to give it a full body palette. The taste is hard to explain, very subtle in nature but thoroughly enjoyable! This pushes a rice dish from a 6-7/10 up to a 8-9/10. This won't be something I use in every rice dish, but will definitely purchase more to try when entertaining guests.

Tastes good and definitely passes the authenticity test. However, it's much less aromatic than other saffron I've used. Great product, but I will be sticking with other brands.

I have purchased saffron from Whole Foods, and from Costco, retail price is generally very high so I am pleased to have found saffron for such a reasonable price online. One of my favorite Afghan dishes calls for saffron to be steeped in milk. Mazaeus Saffron was golden in color, and very fragrant. The flavor shined through in that exceptional floral aroma that only authentic saffron can impart on a dish.

So far I like this saffron. Its seems to be the real deal. The smell is very pungent. I read that saffron scent is suppose to smell sweet(for the most part), but this does have that plastic smell that everyone else talks about, but it doesn't come off in the water/tea. A little goes a long way. I used 3 tiny sprigs and made a 4 oz. tea that is very tasty. Looking forward to reaping the many health benefits that saffron is said to have. I also did the water test. Real saffron is said to take a while for the golden color to leech into the water and it definitely took its time. Fake saffron releases color immediately, so I am happy about getting the real deal. I also love how they include instructions on how to use it which is a plus! I definitely recommend.

I could smell the delicious scent of the saffron before I even opened the well sealed tin. Inside the cute tin, there was a generous amount for the price, so it’s a very good value. I ground some up, added a couple of tablespoons of boiling water, and made the most flavorful Tahdig ever! I had never before tried this brand, but it is very, very good!

This is the best Saffron I have ever used. I have been using saffron with tea and in cooking special dishes for more than 15 years but this brand is the best. Very little goes a long way. Really great quality and outstanding. However, from the picture on Amazon, the amount of saffron looks larger than what you really receive. It is expensive but it is worth it. I will keep buying it.
