Good and well worth the purchase. Useful in the teaching of reading with my slower tier students.

What this tiny volume consists of is a word lists that expand every time a new phoneme is added that a child with the prior sounds mastered should be able to decode and read. What concerns me is that just because a child can pronounce a word, they are devoid of contest and it does not mean that the child comprehends that as a vocabulary word they will understand and be able to use.To me, this just reinforces the beauty of Jolly Phonics- that it is a multi-sensory onslaught embracing input from all the senses. The book is useful for teachers not having to think up spelling and vocabulary words a child can conquer with each new sound learned.
