03/17/2014: GREAT Value For The Money!! ... UPDATE: DIED Aug. 19, 2020
Purchased March 17, 2014 ... Died August 19, 2020. Simply stopped working this morning. NOT BAD! Lasted 6 years and 5 months of daily use with 2 watches always on board!!! Just purchased another today.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I purchased this gem for my two new Seiko "automatic" watches. Out of the MANY available choices and vast price ranges, this Versa winder offered the best value! Just the fact it has over 300 reviews can attest to its popularity and reliability. Setup was simple, and I would suggest the instructions be read BEFORE attempting operation. It was well-packaged.OBSERVATIONS & OPERATION:This Vera unit can wind clock-wise, counter-clockwise, and bi-directional. There are 4 settings for different rotation times and rest periods - which translate into 342 to 2,160 "Turns Per Day" (TPDs). To check your watch manufacturer's suggested TPDs, go to the Orbita website and select your make & model. After reading the relatively small amount of negative reviews, I checked the "fit & finish", noise level, and ease-of-use. Yes, it is made out of black plastic, but it in no way appears "flimsey" by any means. The watch holders are spring-loaded to hold a heavier watch nice and firm (with felt backings), and two (2) larger "holders" are included for larger watches (both mine have 36 millimeter case diameters).Maybe I got lucky, but my unit is ABSOLUTELY SILENT! I even put my ear to it while it was turning! ... nothing! ... not a sound! Handles both watches no problem and no strain!EASY to insert and remove watches - which was a pleasant surprise.Comes with the A/C adapter ... Input: AC/100-240V 50-60Hz ... Output: DC/4V 500mA.The only remaining test is "longevity". Since it will turned on every day from now on ... and after paying only $49.95, if I get a year or two out of this unit, I will be happy.TIP: If you simply need your seldom-worn watches "ready-to-go", instead of fully wound all the time, I purchased one of those "timers" you buy for table lamps ... and now my winder only functions at night!

This is a really awesome product! Timers and functions seem to work just fine...
The media could not be loaded. I am a frequent buyer of amazon products but this isone of the best I've purchased. This unit looks really awesome, I never knew just how much, until a actuallybought it and put it on my shelf, in my man cave, seeing my watches inside...The scheduling switches for each of the motor settings work great. The watch holders are just fine and fit both of my watches with a snug fit.The unit, even with both motors running at the same time is very, very quiet. This piece has a door with two round glass viewers, to see the watches...It looks really awesome on my living room show table.I have the rotations running in opposite directions because I like that look, although you have many rotation choices with this piece, You also have manyrotation and timing schedule setting options on this unit, for each of the watch holders that you put your watch into.See my videos of what I did with this thing!Their really awesome looking.By nature, I don't even ware watches.I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy.Never-the-less, I saw two watches on Amazon that I really liked, one was gold and one was gold tone with black accents accents. They just sat in their closed boxes for weeks.I was going to look for a cheap watch case,,, (Might as well have been a suitcase).I digress...That was, until I came across this “Versa”, Automatic Double Watch Winder. It did not cost me a lot and I the black goes really well with the gold tones in my watches. This my man treat,,, my treat to myself for busting my buttwith heavy, hard labor each day at work, and I plan on buying more of these unitsand more watches from Amazon, why not,,, I deserve it... :)This is a great place to shop... Lots of unique items. You gotta get one of these things, and they hold both men's and women's watches. For the price, it's definitely worth it. :)Hope this helps. :)

Basic unit and delivers on features.
Easy to use, basic functionality and does what it should. One week in use and all is well. I prefer the soft pillows on other models but this model works fine. Motors are quiet which is high significance for me.

Manufacturing quality issue?
I own a previous version of a Versa double watch winder. It worked for roughly 10 years (which is much longer than any other winder I have owned) before it stopped working. I would easily give that one 5 stars. I ordered another Versa unit to replace that one. While this one looks the same as the last one, there are some changes (the visible one is that the controls in back are different). I plugged the first one I got in and found that the bottom watch winder didn't turn. Since the old one I had worked so well, I decided to exchange the defective unit for another one. I got the replacement in a couple of days and plugged it in with the same result. THE BOTTOM WINDER DIDN'T WORK. I spent some time really looking at this one before boxing it back up (for a refund this time) and it was pretty obviously why the bottom wasn't turning. The first picture shows the top winder which does turn. The second picture shows the bottom one which doesn't turn. If you compare the pictures, the top opening is pretty much centered. The bottom opening is not. The part that is in the bottom opening is clearly skewed to the top right of the picture. That is likely what is keeping the bottom unit from turning. Even if it did turn, there is very little clearance for a watch bracelet on one side once a watch is installed on the watch pillow. It is likely that a watch bracelet would get scratched up badly if the bottom unit turned. I don't have time to keep returning defective units, so it's time for me to move on to another brand.
