Q: How would this work if you nurse on both sides? Will it drain so much milk that there won't be enough left for baby to eat on that side?

Generally the amount of milk is an issue of supply and demand. I feed on both sides. If it has been longer between feedings, like 3-4 hours, I will use the pump on the opposite breast. If it is shorter, like 2 hours, I won't use it to ensure baby has enough milk. Just remember, if you hold it in place, or have a bra to hold it, you don't HAVE to apply suction. You can just let it catch your let down so there is no waste. Or sometimes I will only apply suction for half the time she is eating on the other side and then the rest I will just let it catch the let down without suction. It's up to you!

YES! I don’t ever leak and I stick it on the other side when I’m nursing and get about an ounce each feeding. For some reason I don’t pump as much as he eats when I’m at work so having 4-6 oz extra a day from JUST my normal nursing sessions ias amazing.

Yes! I am EP and switched exclusively to the haakaa after 1 month of using electric pumps. Right now I'm 4 months in and pumping about 40 oz/day using only haakaas. I'm sure it depends on the person but it has done wonders for this EP mama!
