Emsco Group 8282-1 Natural Sandstone Look – Medium – Lightweight – Easy to Install-16.5x20x15 Landscape Rock

After replacing an anti-syphon valve, our small resin rock no longer fit. I wasn't sure this medium size replacement would work because the space is rather tight between the valves and the wall. The cover fits perfectly. It sits snug against the wall and juts out toward the shrubs, just like the old one. Great design! I'm using this cover to protect the valves from the sprinkler spray. Edited, October 8, 2025: I just ordered a second rock for the front yard. It is thinner and lighter... what happened? Did they run low on resin? Disappointed!

Loved this rock formation. Looks realistic. Looks great in the yard. Will buy from this seller again in the future.

Has stayed secure despite lot of windy days

This is a very realistic looking faux rock. It has multiple color tones (sandstone) and black speckles, just like real Granite. The plastic is very thick and durable, but it also cuts easily with sharp tin snips. The rock comes with 2 metal stakes to use to secure it to the ground with. I almost missed the stakes, as they were taped to the inside top of the rock. There are also 2 pre-drilled holes in the base of the rock, on either side, about an inch from the bottom, for the stakes to go through. Take the measurements with a grain of salt, as they are the size of the base of the rock. The rock is tapered and irregular in shape, so the measurements vary from bottom to top. I did not have any issues with the stickers leaving residue on the rock, as some other reviewers have stated. The stickers practically fell off by themselves. I previously purchased a couple of larger Orbit valve cover rocks, but they look more like painted paper mache compared to the Emsco Group rocks. The Emsco Group rocks are much more realistic looking. These rocks are a little overpriced for a hollow piece of plastic (the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars). However, they look realistic and work for their intended purpose of covering irrigation valves. If you are looking for some realistic looking faux rocks then look no further.

I live in the woods and needed a rock to hide my water source. It is a plastic rock but actually surrounded by other gross and disgusting rocks it fits in. So overall if you are looking for a rock as a cover this does the trick.

Fairly realistic

Wish I had gotten this a long time ago to cover an outdoor outlet. I feel much safer with this covering my outdoor plugs and it looks pretty good too.

You can see from the photo that the color shown is not the color received. It looks like a real rock but I wanted the lighter color. It's also way larger than it says. Read some of the other reviews to get accurate sizes. Someone took a photo from the sticker on their rock with all the sizes. Mine didn't have that sticker.

Beautiful plastic rock, it looks realistic to some degree especially if you plant around it, light weight and good size to fill your garden

Even sitting mainly alone on mulch this boulder looks quite realistic! Once we’ve added some more plants I doubt you’d ever be able to tell that it’s not real! I love that I can redecorate the garden by moving the rock around which you could never do with real! Love it so much that we purchased a second boulder for the front yard! Very happy. Rock isn't as dark as the picture suggests. Other than that it's ok -- I just wanted it for aesthetics and it works with rocks and plants in the vicinity.
