This works great. I would highly recommend it to anyone with bare places in their yard. We did cut it to fit the muddy area where we needed grass to grow. Followed the instructions. Watered as recommended. Within 3 -4 weeks grass was sprouting nicely.

I've bought these some years ago and it worked well, but this time they don't seem to have a lot of seeds in them because it's looking pretty bald and it was raining non stop for days after I put it on the ground, after a couple of months of watering it I have to say I'm disappointed.

Watered three times a day for two weeks as instructed. Didn't get much grass up. Had to add more grass seed and water until that seed came up

I have been fighting this one section of my yard since we bought the house about 3 years ago. As you can see there's a big oak tree that blocks a good part of the sunlight and I could never get anything to work. I've seeded and overseeded and the grass would always die. This was perfect..takes a little longer than I thought, but was well worth the wait. I have read reviews about it blowing away in the wind if it gets dry, I'm not the smartest man in the world but pretty sure grass seed need to be wet to grow. I would water twice a day once before I went to work and once when I got home. It survived pretty nasty storms and high winds so not too sure how wind would take it. Especially after you water it, it forms to the ground it's on so idk seems pretty secure to me. Buy it and make sure you water twice a day and it will work. 4-5 weeks is about the timeline from start to my final picture. I am located in Houston, Tx so hot weather isn't going to hurt it. If you have areas that give you problems buy this product you won't regret it if you make sure it's watered. Couldn't be happier woth the results!

Good germination rate, grew to an inch or two, then died off. Followed directions, but could not get it to establish. Unsure if fault lies with myself, yard, or product.

All hyped up. I got very mixed results. Small patches ok larger area's little or no growth. Apply on a calm day or the wind will blow this material all over the place until it gets wet. I don't recommend for areas larger than 1 or 2 square feet. It looks like the material does more to impede growth even when following the directions. Got better/faster results with grass seed and straw. This method requires a lot of work with little or no results. I do not recommend this product. Stick with covered seed. What this product claims is all hype.

I can’t tell you if this stuff actually works because no matter how “saturated” it was any amount of wind blew it up. Putting a “thin layer” of dirt like they recommend doesn’t help either. The wind just blows it all up. Unless you can guarantee a few weeks without any wind above 5mph don’t waste your money. Put it towards sod so then the wind doesn’t really matter.

I have tried putting down several different brands of grass seed in a particular area of my lawn and have had no luck. I was about to try some of the "spray grasses" but stumbled across this product and glad I did. Here is a quick rundown of my experience. (Area I used this on is sunny half the day and shady the rest of the day.)When I went to purchase I thought 50 square feet would be plenty for my needs. It "just" covered the small area I wanted to do. So to me, it was expensive in comparison to the amount of yard I was using it on. It would be wise to actually measure the area vs. "guestimating" like I did to be safe.The directions included are very clear and straight forward. I followed them to the T and had no issues as expected. This rolls out very nicely and quickly. My watering regimen was three times a day for several weeks. Morning, Afternoon, and Evening.Photo showing the material being freshly put down was 7/31 and my after photo was taken 9/15. (6 weeks)This did the trick and the grass has been doing very well since.So in short, I was happy with the outcome and this did what I needed. Two thumbs up.One tip is to be sure your area is well saturated before putting it down and be on top of the watering schedule for best results.
