CowboyStudio 78-Inch Octagonal SoftBox with Speedring for Alienbee Strobe Studio

1) Came with no instructions on how to assemble; had to look up on youtube.com to figure it out as I had not put one together before.2) The bag it came in was filthy like it had been dragged down a dirt road.3) The outer diffuser panel doesn't fit properly. It is not long enough on all the sides so there are gaps and it pulls oddly. The velcro also comes off easily.4) Some of the stitching is ripping apart just after being put together and not even having been used yet! VERY cheaply made.This is going back along with everything else I purchased from Cowboy Studio. Very disappointed in the quality of all the products I purchased. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

For the price, this is great. It's a little trick to set up, and now that I had it put together I hope that I don't have to take it apart. But other than that I love it. For the price I can handle it being a little hard to put together. I am using it with a speedlight, so I bought another ring to attach my speedlight to. Love having a light modifier this big for this price.

I purchased this product because it was a good price and I always wanted one for my studio. However it has turned into the biggest nightmare ever. The ad is completely misleading and false. To start with the only thing true about it is that it is a 60 Inch Octagonal softbox. Everything else is false it is not adjustable to fit up to a 4 Inch light (the only reason I bought it) it is a fixed 3 3/8 inch non adjustable 6 hole spring ring. I contacted Cowboy studio and after sending them pictures proving that there is no way this could open to 4 Inches they sent me an adjustable 4 Inch springring however it is NOT for this Octagonal softbox it was for one that only has 4 rods instead of 6 so it was and is worthless. It was obvious to me after numerious emails that they washed there hands of it and since I couldn't even put it together because I had no springring that fit both the softbox and my light it became the newest member of the trash. I am totally disappointed in both Cowboy studio and Amazon for allowing this to happen. I gave it no stars because it was a complete lie and those selling this should be ashamed of themselves. This was definetly a case of buyer beware and the only time Amazon has let me down and they should immediatly have this ad removed as it is written. Don't these companys selling these items ever look at them and put them together prior to running ads.

Provides beautiful light! No instructions came, had to YouTube a demo on CB's page for some tips. Make sure you get a sturdy light stand for this. Make sure you have a speed ring with 8 holes. Fit my cowboy studio strobe and speed ring but it's really heavy and I can only use it in the "down" position. Can't point it straight ahead. The plastic joint on my strobe can't handle the weight. Besides that I was able to get some gorgeous photos the first time I used it!

I had intended to order this for some time when I finally remembered to do so. It arrived and was the wrong thing. It was a soft box for something other than an Alien Bee. I promptly let Amazon know and before the UPS guy even picked up the first one there was delivery confirmation that Amazon had already sent a different one (Great customer service by Amazon as always). When it arrived- it was different from the first, but still not one for Alien Bee. I notified Amazon again at which point they gave up on trying a third one and gave my money back even before the UPS guy came after the second one. Guess the packaging CQ from their supplier isnt very good but to Amazons credit- they took care of me like a champ!

I just bought this uge softobox.My pictures come out with amazing effects, soft and sharpner!!!I really recommend. And the price is very good.

It was very heavy and cumbersome to put together. I ended up returning it

It came with the wrong sized ring for the rods. Had to improvise with another ring for a shoot before I returned it, but then two of the rods broke during assembly because they were not solid, but spliced together. I love the size, and it worked well after I rigged it, but it was not my favorite afternoon.
