Too flimsy!
This is not what I expected. I have bought similar priced nets locally at Lowe's, and the handle was much thicker and sturdier. I needed this to scoop out my pond plants, which I have a lot of. I could tell immediately that I was going to have problems. As I started scooping them out, the handle was really straining under the weight of the water and plants. I tried holding the handle as close to the net as possible to relieve some of the strain, but my pond is fairly large, so that wasn't possible for a lot of it. Sure enough, around halfway through, the handle started to bend. I tried to bend it back into position, but that just caused it snap off, so I wasn't even able to complete the job. I wouldn't recommend this if you have to scoop out anything more than leaves.

Bad purchase
I've not had a chance to use this net much (ice on pond now), but I really like the long telescoping handle, the protective rim around top of net, and the net looks like it's not going to tear easily. I agree with another reviewer that the holes in the net are too large to catch fine debrie. Too bad it doesn't have finer mesh - small particles just pass through the net so are not able to be captured with this net.Long overdue update:I reviewed this item a couple of years ago and should have updated my review long ago. This net did not hold up well at all. Within a very short time (about a month), the net tore in several places making it unusable. I have to admit that my small 1000 gallon Koi pond has rough concrete walls so was difficult for a net to withstand use under those conditions, I wish I'd returned it, but I didn't get around to it within the returnable time period. I am writing this very belated updated review to prevent others from buying this net, particularly if you have rough surfaced walls in your pond, Also, it is worthless for picking up anything but large leaves - any thing smaller passes right through the net.I ordered Purity Pool PCSLT Pelican Featherweight 16-Inch Residential Leaf Rake, Silt Model and it's been the greatest net! I've ever had. I purchased it in March 2014, and despite incredible hard use, it's still like new. Picks up even really fine debris. So get that one and don't get this one (Laguna pond net) which was a waste of money. . .

Great net for small ponds
This is a great fish net for my small pond. Pimary use is to pick up fallen leaves and debris. Although the holes in the net are actually 1mm so dirt will fall through. The small size allows me to easily maneuver the net to avoid catching onto the lava rock planted in the middle of the pond. The plastic fishnet edge protector is nice to have. Not sure how long the net will last for me since I have lava rock to dodge, but others should expect long life. For the price and build quality, I recommend it for small ponds (less than 500 gallons).

Great Quality
I have a 3 foot deep by 4 foot diameter water sump catch basin that drains a field. I bought this net to skim off debris so the pump does not get plugged up. The net protector on the bottom is great. I think you could lift a lot of weight with the handle and frame before you could bend it. The net is well made and this is a quality product that will take some abuse. I am going to buy another one to keep the kids swimming pool clean. Worth the money.

what we needed
I got this for my Father to ensure that we could clean out his pond thanks the trees each and every year. I have to say that the produce is holding up great and makes it really easy for my Father to get fish and leaves and even the decorative rocks that fall into the pond out. He no longer has to get on his knees to get things out thanks to how long it extends. When it is extended out it still can pick up a 10-12 pound rock easily (I would not do it too often but when you have to there is no problem). I will be getting a few more for my other family members along with one for myself.

Because I use the net to clean out my fountain, I really like the protective plastic strip on the end of the net frame - it really works. I find that the handle easily dislodges from the net so I find it best to hold onto both as I use it. That's not the worst thing, but it seems like the handle should be able to be secure and not slide out so easily. I would also prefer for the handle to be longer so I don't have to reach so much. But overall, it's a good net and does the trick!

Great Net For Smaller Fish
I needed a fish net to catch 10" koi fish; this net works as expected although it bends from the weight of these large fish. I would say that this net is perfect if you're catching smaller fish, but for larger fish like mine I am now looking for a net with larger holes and a stronger handle. The telescope handle is perfect for larger tanks so you can reach the other side easily,

Great net for the price!
I just bought my first house via a VA home loan and had to transfer my pond at a residence I was renting to own. This net was just what I needed. I fished out my 12 foot diameter by 4 foot deep pond that had nearly 30 fish or more. Only 2 kois, the rest were goldfish, but this net made it so much easier with the telescoping handle. The hardest part was the day I moved, it was only 34 degrees and I nearly froze my bum off trying to catch all of my fish and had to nearly drain all of the pond to do so because even with it being so cold I kept my pond at 60 degrees with an in-line heater I ripped from an old hot tub. The fish were active and not willing! The night before we dipped down to -9 degrees so I was terrified to turn off the heater and have a frozen pond in the morning. The fish made the trip perfectly with a power inverter 4 plasitc tubs from walmart and a 4 valve aerator! Bought a 300 gallon rubber maid stock tank and my fish are waiting out the winter in my basement until this spring when I'll use the net again to put them in their new home outside. Your're probably wondering what I did with the old pond? Drained, pulled the liner and preliner, filled with fill dirt, topped with mulch, and waalah my landlord didn't have to worry about anyone drowning or falling into a very big hole! Just glad my Landlord allowed the pond.

Exactly as it says it is.
Not much to say really - I needed a net, I got a net. Has a nice telescopic method of extending so you can use it close or far. Absolutely does the job spot on for me.

Junk
Mesh is cheap as they could make it. Little plastic piece that is supposed to "guard" the netting from getting ripped at the front was rolling around in the box when it arrives. Plastic nut that is used to extend the pole cracked. Highly do not reccomened it.
