cheap is cheap for a reason.
Tablet feels cheap and mine had no sound outta the box. The manufacturer requires buyer to cover shipping costs with a 4 week turn around. Its slow to respond and has the whole resets everything its powered off but havent tried the software update. Thankfully the seller redbasket takes good care of their customers.

There are Much Better for the Money
First off, just to make it clear I know what I'm talking about, I'm a tablet wholesale/retail distributor. I buy direct from the manufacturers in China. The Craig brand has always been one of the most low end tablets available. They were one of the earliest brands on the market but they have never put out a decent product. At least not compared to what else is available. I'm talking tablets for under $100. There are many almost identical brands in the same low end category such as Polaroid, Ematic, RCA, and others. The thing is with these low quality mass produced tablets the quality control is very bad. They're not checked out thoroughly enough and many not at all before leaving the factory. Buying any of these tablets is always a crap shoot. You might get lucky and get one that has no problems and lasts for a year or two. Or you might get one that has problems right out of the box and fails within a short time. Depending on the exact brand the odds of getting a good one are from 65% to 85%. As a dealer myself I personally check every unit to make sure it's working properly before it goes on the market. Of course that only means it's working good right out of the box. Problems can arise within a short time or further down the road, there's no way of knowing about that. But that's why you should always keep your receipt and never buy a cheap tablet that can only be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. You'll likely get major headaches trying to get your tablet fixed or replaced and it will often cost more than the tablets worth to ship it out. Believe me, they plan it that way. Your much better off buying from a store or seller who will accept an immediate return no questions asked should there be problems out of the box or soon afterwards. Walmart is good about quick returns, and it's a good thing bcuz every tablet they sell in the store right now is in the category of this one. Last year Walmart had one of the better brands available online for a super good price. I could barely compete even buying direct from China like I do. But they discontinued that brand right before Christmas. They should have focused on that brand and made it available in the stores, but instead they dropped it and threw all their focus on the inferior RCA brand. They must have cut really good deal with the manufacturers of the RCA tablet. More money for them....but much more hassles and heartache for the consumers. It pisses me off when I think of parents who can barely afford to get their kid a tablet and even have to save for it and then on Christmas morning or their birthday the damn thing doesn't work out of the box or fails days or weeks later. This Craig tablet is overpriced for what it is. The two worst features of this tablet are the storage capacity and the screen resolution. At only 4GB of storage it's the very lowest capacity on the market and is usually found in tablets selling for less than $60. Any tablet above $60 should have 8GB of storage capacity. The screen resolution on this tablet is only 800x480. That is also the very lowest for a tablet in this class. It should be at least 1024x600, or even better for a 9 inch. 800x480 is really bad resolution for a 9 inch screen bcuz the wider the screen the more stretched the pixels become and the details are not sharp. You'll notice on the edge of large words and curved lines there is a jagged blocky effect. On a 7 inch tablet 800x480 isn't good but on a nine inch it's really bad. Another problem with this tablet is the viewing angle. When you tip the tablet downwards even a little bit you lose the picture. The best features of this tablet that you should always look for in any tablet you buy are the 1GB of memory and the dual core Cortex A9 processors which run at a surprisingly high 1.6 GHz. With that combination this tablet should run very smoothly and have fairly quick page loading. But I see a lot of complaints about that. I could go on and on of course but that gives you a basic rundown on this tablet, and others. I'll give one example of a better more reliable tablet since it is sold here on Amazon....and no, I'm not the seller. It's the HKC brand. The same one Walmart sold last year. It comes in two sizes...7 inch and 8 inch. I prefer the larger 8 inch screen, but for a child especially, the 7 inch is easier to hold. Always check the ratings of any tablet. If it has at least 10 or 15 reviews and ratings and has more than 3 and a half stars you should be OK. Don't be influenced by any less than 10 ratings. Good luck to you.

Needs some work!
Not a bad tablet, specs are pretty good for the device but the rom on this tab is awful. had a problem with apps not installing, and it resetting on reboot. For anyone else having the same problem ive included steps for fixing it so you can enjoy your ~$70 tablet. :D1. go ahead and skip your google account setup. . . not gunna need that now2. go to settings and turn on usb debugging and make sure unknown sources is set up on developer tools and security respectively.3. download some form of adb. google search "minimal adb and fastboot". or install the SDK if you're in to that sort of thing. or just download "motochopper" as we will use that in step 5.4. run adb and it brings up a command prompt. type in "adb shell pm set-install-location-2"5 run motochopper and stop it when it says "press any key to reboot your device" or something of that sort.6. open your adb again and run "adb shell" you should have a "#" at the end of your shell prompt7. run "cp /system/xbin/busybox /system/bin/busybox" then "del /system/xbin/busybox"then go ahead and reboot your tablet and you should be good. the busybox move should fix the reseting at reboot if you have the problem and the package manager will fix the "not enough storage" error when you try to install apps. hope this helps someone :D

Was mediocre until it stopped working for no reason
I only bought this for use a couple times a week for a few apps - it's why I didn't want to buy an expensive tablet. Worked fine for what I needed it to, but some apps behaved like it was a phone rather than a tablet. It was also a bit slow. HOWEVER, after owning it for 9 months it stopped working. When I hit the On button it perpetually says "Loading...". It will say that for hours until I turn it off. The reset button did not help. I never dropped it or got it wet. I took it to the store I bought it from and the guy was going to try physically disconnecting the battery for a reboot, but the battery is soldered on, so we couldn't even try it. The manufacturers warranty is only for 90 days. So now it's a paperweight.

OK if you won't watch any videos on it.
I too bought one of these at Rite Aid for $78 and I'm returning it today. The instructions state that the micro usb cable is supplied, but it is not in the box. That is minor. However, any video, be it netflix, youtube, hulu, whatever is choppy. Even if I was standing right next to my router. It might be OK if you have no intentions of watching video on it, but why bother. I'd rather put the $78 towards a better device.

Use it for E-Reader
Its great to use as a book reader. You can download the kindle app. That's what I use it for. The internet is a little slow (it does connect to wifi) and the speaker is not that loud so if your an avid book reader then I think this tablet is great. It was a gift, i did not pay for it. So i think its a great tablet until I upgrade.
