My 8 year old son saw this on YouTube and had to have it. While I hate the power of advertising, I also needed a motivator for him for to do his schoolwork cheerfully. I wasn't expecting much, but this is actually really cool. It's easy to use and the rolling into a ball feature is pretty impressive. The dog also gets exercise as he chases it around and my so finds that pretty entertaining. The quality also seems good. We haven't had it long enough to say for sure, so that's the only reason I marked the durability at 4 stars. Good product.

My son loves playing with this. He requested it for Christmas and Santa brought it. It is very fun and keeps him entertained for hours. It is very good quality and has held up very well. The battery life is as expected. It is a little bigger than I thought it would be. It functions just as described.

Interesting little gadget.Durability- 4/5 some parts don’t seem well made but for the price point I think it’s fine.Remote Control- steers pretty well but doesn’t make sharp turns.

Note: just received this approximately 30 minutes ago.Pretty neat when works. It is quite fast and is pretty fun being able to change it into a ball and back. While the controller appears to be line-of-sight, it does have some range.The radio control has gone through three different sets of new batteries in about 5 minutes (from being out of the box) trying to troubleshoot control problems. Sometimes when it transforms into a ball, the controller stops working altogether. My son gets about 1-2 minutes of play before the radio controller stops working with the car.UPDATE: 1 to 4 stars.Received my replacement and it works just fine. The toy itself is pretty neat. It has a difficult time going across carpet fast enough for the robot to roll into a ball for a anything longer than a very short distance. Other than that, my son loves it.

Very durable and surprisingly fast. This is the most agile remote control car I have ever owned. This was a Christmas present and it does not disappoint. It doesn't matter how much you run this thing into walls, it has very protective plastic around it's important parts. The rolling motion is very smooth and you can easily roll three or more times at top speed. Great for indoor and outdoor use, but only for flat surfaces and driveways.

This thing is just cheap. Got this as a Kwanzaa present for my son. So we didnt open it until the end of Dec. When I put in the batteries. The door would not screw shut. They replaced it with no problem. So here we are cpl weeks later now the front wheel has broken off and it's making a horrible noise. He has probably used it about 5 times. Trash don't buy.

I purchased two of these. One before Christmas for my friend's grandson, and one after Christmas for my own grandson. This toy is easy enough for children of this age to operate on their own without an adult hovering over them, and engaging enough to hold interest! It seems very sturdy and both boys loved it!!

My son had so much fun with this remote control snake/car! As soon as he got it out of the box, he played with it for 3 hours straight, until one of the mechanisms that makes the snake fold up broke. Now it makes a horrible screeching noise whenever he tries to roll it up. It is also VERY loud to begin with, so the added screeching is just too much. Plus the part that is broken prevents the snake from rolling into a ball, which is really the best feature of this car. My kid went from elated to very sad. Luckily he opted to purchase the protection plan, so he can get a replacement. Hopefully the new one lasts longer than a few hours.
