Great monitor - low price.
I have 4 of those, bought two for the office and then another two at home.Let start with the bad:- There is a very minute color temperature difference between the office monitors.- Very close to the frame there is minute color/intensity animality.- Cannot be used when there is direct sunlight hitting the screen.- The speakers are crap.- The bezel is not the tinies.- Not a big fan of the settings control. There is only one button/joystick that controls it all. It is functional, but it is relatively easy to select the wrong option because your finger is shaking slightly. So many times I wanted to switch the input to a different computer and I ended up turning off the monitor. That's annoying though in all those cases I did try to do in a hurry and clicking the button without accidentally shifting it aside prove a challenging task.I am a perfectionist and I have to really pay attention to notice the first two issues, so you should probably ignore them. The sun, well the monitor does not produce too much light density. The sound, I did not buy them for it.Regarding the rest, I love all four of them. You cannot possibly go wrong for this monitor at this price. The issues described above are outright insignificant compared to what they offer.- Great picture.- Low light bleeding.- Very responsive monitor.- I love the stand. It is not the prettiest, but it is damn stable and functional!- I use them for work, movies, games, and I LOVE THEM!I had other 4k monitors before those, some of them cost 3 times as much, and yet those are my favorite by far.

Great Microsoft Surface companion
Bought this for a shared Microsoft Surface Dock setup - using the MiniDisplayPort connector from the Surface Dock.Brought hope the 28UE590 first - got a great price and was looking for a decent 4k monitor to pair with the Surface Laptop and a Surface Book 2.In comparison, the LG 27UD58P-B has better viewing angles - color stays accurate vs. straight on viewing at a much larger angle. The brightness may not be as high, but the screen is more stable, the text is more clear and the display has MUCH better adjustments - you can raise and lower, tilt front and back and also position into portrait mode - which makes productivity work much easier, whether editing a long document or editing a webpage.I do not use the machines for gaming - the 28UE590 might be better for that task - although, the LG 27UD58P-B does have the freesync feature, so it might be 'good enough'.I am very pleased with it and the price was excellent. I would recommend this 4k monitor to anyone looking to step up from a 24" screen or who needs a good laptop companion that has a lot of power - the Surface line, especially the Book 2, has a dedicated GT 1050 or 1060 and this monitor pairs well with it.

Great Picture, just okay design
The screen itself and display are quite good. I wish there were more connections (USB C out, etc), but for this price it’s a lot to ask.The base is a bit bulky and just a big square - not much aesthetic quality and takes up too much desk space in front of the monitor.

Great Monitor!
I needed a monitor with good color and clarity for video editing in Final Cut Pro. I actually tried two other monitors before this one and, wow, this one should have been the one I bought first. It had the best price and I like the fact that it's simple.... all black. No white back like other LG monitors. I figured the LG brand would be good since Apple partners with them for their monitors. And boy was I right. This monitor, hooked up to my MacBook Pro using a Display Port cable (ditch the HDMI if you want the best picture and best response times), looks just as good as the 27" iMac retina monitor sitting right next to it. There is no difference in picture quality. I also love the fact that this monitor can be tilted back or forward, from side to side and lifted up and down to different heights off the desk. Well worth every penny.

Great Quality
As we all know, the price of monitors are all over the price! This monitor is worth the price paid. It's easily set-up, comes with the proper cabling, and met all my expectations. I run two of these alongside my MacBook Pro for work and I'm not disappointed in the quality. When using them as dual monitors to pull up spreadsheets on one, reporting on another, etc. it's super useful and offers great crispness.I did not pay for these as they are now a company asset, but I would buy them again out of my own wallet.

Display flaw in less than 2 months
I have 4 of these monitors in a multi monitor display. 3 of the 4 have operated with no issue, but one has lost pixel display in just a couple months. Note the cross hair like black lines in the picture. Beyond the return window on Amazon, so will be contacting LG. 25% chance you might get the same defect a couple months in!

great monitor, lasts for years
i got a similar model a long time ago, and it's worked really well for years. the newer model has useful upgrades, like a monitor mount that allows it to swivel. the colors all look really nice and sharp. i got another monitor from LG and the colors were a mess. this one looks beautiful.

Looks okay, but it's auto detection features are bad.
When I turn on my pc the monitor doesn't recognize it and I have to toggle the switch on twice to get it to work. Also time to time the resolution gets way out of wack and the only way to fix it is to unplug and replug the power cable.
