There is one thing I'll say about this book. The dialogues! They are as immaculate as they can be. Just wow! Some of them, I think will start coming in my dreams maybe. I finished it in less than three days. Because it was difficult not to. I also liked that there is less romance and more plot. That's what I like in my books.I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and heroism in their books. Also it's a clear slow burn for those into romance.

For a new reader it was little unfamiliar in the beginning but as you goes on reading it you you gets the hang of it and it becomes a really interesting story

And there are many secrets to unravel. Truth about high kings, her murdered parents,Her parent's murderer, Her sisters secret. Everything comes out as a Strom. And in between there is the cruel prince who desires her and she desires him.And Jude is the only mortal who has power to make right thing and gain her position.Will Jude be able to do the right thing?How much blood will be spilled at the hand of Jude?If Jude wins then at what cost?There's so much hatred in this book. Hate, Desire but not love. So much violence.♚♚♚♚What I like about the book?Fey world. The world is almost similar to Cassie's fey world which is nostalgic.Cardan is stupid, dumb, cute prince whom you can't stop loving by the end.Jude's strategies.Nixies, pixies, ponies and so many creatures you can't remember at one point.♚♚♚♚What I don't like about the book?There's mostly nothing I don't like about the book expect the only character Locke. I hate his character. I hate you Locke.♚♚♚♚Hate. Love. Desire. Betrayal. Fey. Secrets. Violence. Magic. All you want to read in one package.

The story was about royal politics, political intrigue, trust, betrayal, family drama, deception, magic, desire, and cruelty.Characters were complex and interesting. They were all flawed and no one was perfect, even Jude who I liked from the beginning. It was hard to predict anything about any characters until I was much into book but I was right about who was good and who was bad. It was secrets characters were keeping and their actions surprised me most.The world was interesting and captivating. It wasn’t described in too much detail that would made it perfect for readers who don’t like info dump.Court politics and political intrigue were the main focus of the book and it was the best part.Why 4 or 4.5 stars –There wasn’t anything wrong with the book. We still need to see character development which might be in next books. Also, I don’t like the cliche of ‘bad boy is actually good’ and ‘boy acting ridiculously jerk just because he didn’t like how he felt around girl’.Overall, Cruel Prince was dark, twisted, fascinating and fast paced YA fantasy with complex and interesting plot and characters.I definitely recommend if you like,dark fantasyYA fantasy with violencecomplex plot and charactersfascinating twisted faerie worldbad boy is actually good arcpossible enemies-to-lovers arcstrong female characterLess focus on romanceroyal politics and political intrigue

I got this book last year. It was starting of fall, as I can remember. In starting, I hated it, I was scared of all the cruelty it was too much for me, but by the end of it, I was convinced to read the other 2 books also. I kind of always related to Jude cause we were the same age when I started, and of course, the story was from her point of view, so why not.At the end now I can say that I loved it. The twist and turns , tropes and plots , were perfect.And Jude, her proving each & every one of them wrong who ever underestimated her.
