It works
Once you get it set up for the size wire your stripping, works like a charm. Easy set up and faster and much much safer than using a razor knife. Good quality and well made. Should last a long while. We use a variable speed drill so you can go as fast or slow as you want. Made of thick aluminum except adjustment screws, cutter and feed wheels are Steele so it's light weight and can be mounted in multiple locations easily. Well worth the money, would purchase again.

Best stripper on the market
This works amazing!!! I made a mistake and bought a Chinese version first, that didn't work at all. Then I bought this one. I was able to strip and clean over 200lbs, probably 2000-3000 ft of 6 AWG wire in about 30-45 minutes. It didn't jam or slip at all!!! This baby is amazing!!! Well worth the money

Well worth it!
This product exceeded my expectations! I believe the magic is in the wheel. It’s different from the other strippers I’ve used before that slip constantly. I strip 12awg up to 350kcmil with minimal effort with this stripper. Definitely recommend!

Great except for one thing
This thing is almost perfect. It has gauges so you can make adjustments. One problem is that the gauge is on the opposite side of where you set the drill so you either have to go around to look at it while you adjust or lean over and forward to look at it which gets annoying. They should have put it on the same side as where you use the drill since you're obviously going to be on that side the most. For me i use painters tape on the gauge which allows me to mark it all i want for the different sizes. This thing REQUIRES that you screw it down to a table or 2x4. Best used on top of a table for easier access unless you like bending over all day. When setting it up just be sure not to go deep enough where it cuts through the top strand of the cable when stripping stranded wire. It will lead to sharp little pieces which are guaranteed to stab you and get all over the place. One tip, you should use regular hand held wire strippers to strip and pull off a small section of insulation on one end of the wire like if its going to screwed into an outlet. This is so that after you wring it through the Stripmeister, it will leave a piece of copper to pull down on and separate if from the insulation. Otherwise you'll find yourself using your fingernails trying to open up the sheath to pull out the copper, hurting your fingers. Also, keep a sharp blade with you for inconsistencies because while this is a good stripper, it won't always strip the whole thing. Specially if you have bumps in solid wire or one end is smashed on stranded wire. You'll need the pocket knife to cut what the stripper couldn't reach.

Why didn't I buy this years ago?!
I am an electrician specializing in remodel projects, so I am always pulling out old wire and recycling it. I have thought about getting a stripping machine for a while, but always thought I needed a big and expensive one. I finally broke down and thought I would give one of these smaller ones a try, and like others have said: why didn't I get one of these years ago?! It works well, and strips wire much faster than I could with a utility knife, and much safer, too. The unit is small, but that is a plus, not a minus. It is well built, with good milling of the solid aluminum frame and moving parts that fit tight but move easily. I bolted mine down to a small block of wood just big enough to hold it and the drill to run it. I can then clamp the unit to a work bench or stand, and easily store the assembly away when I am done with it. I will say that it can be a little finicky. Although the feed angle is not super-critical, it does matter for how well the material feeds through and, if set poorly, can cause the wire to slip to the side of the cutter wheel. Also, stripping smaller stranded wire (so far in the #14 - #12 range, I haven't tried others yet) requires much more accuracy with the cutting wheel, otherwise you end up with a lot of copper slivers as the wheel will cut the strands as well as the insulation. However, it doesn't take a lot to fine tune the adjustments, and once set, it runs really well. Therefore, any other reviewers stating they are having trouble with the wire not staying under the cutting wheel is simply not paying attention to their setup. Although I would not consider this is to be a production stripper, I have managed to strip thousands of feet of wire in just a couple of days. There are a couple of things this little stripper will struggle with, such as stripping the outer jacket of round multi-wire (aka 3-wire plus ground) cables, but again, with a little but of tweaking, it took me less than a minute to set up and strip over 100' of 12/3 that was probably made in the 70's or 80's, which has a much thicker jacket and a lot more paper filler inside, so it was quite a challenge. Once the inside wires were separated, I was able to just run individual wire after wire, and a couple of minutes later, I had several more pounds of bare copper in the pile. Overall, in a couple of days I will have finished what would have taken me weeks to do, plus I will get more money per pound for the stripped wire than if I didn't strip it, so this little unit has pretty much paid for itself in no time. If you are in the market for stripping a fair amount of wire, but not looking to make a living out of it (need a bigger machine for that), this little unit will certainly do the trick.

Well made product.
Works like a dream! Paid for itself in about an hour. No more pretending to be a surgeon to strip any length of wire.

Makes the Job of Stripping Wire Fun!!
Great wire stripper for the hobby scrapper. This tool is quality built and I have used it to strip everything from coax cable to 3/00 copper wire. The stripper is heavily built and adjustments are solid and quick. It will strip that damaged extension cord in seconds. It turns work into fun, just add your drill and you are off.
