I got this for my 5 year old nephew who has been bugging me to get him an Optimus prime for months. He has been playing with my old toys from when I was a kid in the 80s and most of them are broken or missing pieces. To start off, this is a GREAT toy, looks awesome, super detailed, love the axe. DO NOT buy this for any kids under maybe 7 years old. It is one of the most complicated transformations of any transformer i have ever had. I am 43 years old and have played with transformers all my life, and even I had to watch a youtube video because i couldn't figure it out. Fortunately i had a backup plan and bought two different Optimus Prime toys for him, he still loves them, but I have to now sit and transform it every 10 minutes because he cant figure it out.

Very good quality on the item I received. Everything tabs together nice and tight. Nothing floppy, nothing too tight. Of course, YMMV. The transformation is fun and quick with enough steps not to be simple, but quick and, after the first time, very logical. Maybe not a toy that someone could eyeball and work out the transformation easily. I like the "battle worn" paint application, though I know that some don't. I understand it's removable with some work and some solvent. Solid toy that I think both an adult collector and probably an older (8+) child would like.

I got this figure for my birthday. This toy is very pricy for 50 dallors but is is worth it! This toys is about 6 inches, which is not bad for a prime. I have cons and pros about this figure. CONS: there are black paint on the eyes, which is not supposed to,the hand is VERY loose. PROS : the new paint job I call it battle marks which are AWSOME, awesome articulation, and the figure is very light and easy to move the arms and legs not like Megatron's legs, and finally nice addition to the ax that transforms into a shied🛡🪓 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FIGURE. 😄 If you are searching for a optimus your search is over!!

This figure (and the entire Siege line for that matter from what I have experienced) just nails it when it comes to G1 cartoon aesthetic. Finally, FINALLY we get a very G1 cartoon accurate figure with a high level of detail at a price point that can be accepted. While Masterpiece figures are great, I would much rather spend $30 than $450 on an Optimus....especially when he looks this good. Sure, the alt mode is not accurate to the cartoon (these are cybertronian alt modes afterall) but it still looks fantastic. Besides, I think most of us display our figures in robot mode anyway. I picked up this guy as well as Siege Megatron and let me tell you, they do not disappoint. The quality of the product feels amazingly solid for the price, and the detail is just superb. As a collector previously primarily of G1 vintage figures (because I am old and these are what I grew up on) I was really on the fence about collecting "modern" Transformers. If you are in the same boat as me, just dive overboard and pick up these Siege characters. You will be really glad that you did.

This is an older figure and yet the quality is better than 90% of the current figures we have now. The forearm truck lights are a bit loose but the plastic itself is great and lasting. Transformation is easy and overall this figure is great, I’ll say it again that it’s better than many of the modern figures.

Absolutely incredible representation of G1 Optimus Prime! There is absolutely no visible kibble in the alt mode (the feet sticking out of the back can be incorporated into the Earth/Cybertron vehicle design with a little creativity) and very little kibble in the robot mode, barring the backpack and the arms, which look completely fine. The accessories include a shield and a blaster. The shield itself is a Transformer and can transform into a sizeable axe, comparable in size to Siege Megatron's massive sword. 2 in 1, I guess? The poseability is great, apparently now a standard in the Siege line. The painting and sculpt is incredible. It captures G1 Prime nearly perfectly. The battle damage genuinely looks great on this figure, like if Prime had battled with Megatron minutes prior. The head is also probably one of the best and most impressive head sculpts I've seen in this line. If you're going to get a Transformers figure, get Siege Optimus Prime. It's an amazing figure in all aspects and I can't see too much people can complain about, barring the strange kibble in the robot mode and the battle damage, which everyone complains about in Siege figures anyway.

Crafted well. The articulation may not be as well done as earthrise optimus, however, this figure presents a more imposing, battle hardened Optimus. The 'battle marks' really give the feel of a war and I like where they have gone with this. I personally prefer the seige look of optimus to earthrise (especially in truck mode), although I can see hard core gen 1 fans preferring earthrise.
