Spectrum 1st Grade Math Workbook, Addition, Subtraction, Place Value, Composing Shapes, Fact Families, and More Mathematics, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum

I love these workbooks for our elementary age, homeschooled son. We have used these workbooks for reading and for math now and I love that they are a great supplemental resource or they can very much guide the curriculum too. I feel like my son enjoyed them, the work was sensible, straightforward, simple directions, simply written questions so my son could read some as well. Overall just a really excellent resource for any student regardless of learning location.

This 1st grade math book is a home run! Easy-to-follow lessons and tons of fun exercises keep young learners engaged and confident in math. We used it to practice during summer.

This is a great book - lots of number bond practice which is a foundational skill in grade one - however, it is not a curriculum replacement in my opinion for homeschoolers. I use it as a boost for my child after school. It can get repetitive but I liked how easy the layout was and how affordable the book was so that you can write straight on to it (sometimes there are money off deals - I waited for this).

Books has 6 chapters and lot of practice. I bought this for my daughter for summer and she likes it. Lots of image easy to understand for kids. If they don’t know and even parents got stuck it has answers at back. Overall books is grade for practice.

I get these books for my kids and it helps reinforce what they are learning. Really nice to get them repetition on the basics and it’s not common core so it’s really easy for me to teach from. Only reason to remove a star is that I have found mistakes in the answer keys a few times.

I've purchased a slew of Spectrum workbooks for my kids' homeschooling studies and I really like them. They aren't the largest workbooks so we tend to blast through them pretty quickly, and I would suggest as a supplement to another curriculum option or to a public/private school education. Overall though I highly recommend and I'll continue to purchase their material.

These math work books are great for any grade level. Whether you are using it for summer review, homeschool, or extra practice. Definitely a great tool to use with your child for math skills!

We needed a math workbook that is concise and covers the needed skills without all the fluff. This is exactly that. Each lesson has instructions and an example, but it’s short and sweet. Other books have long-winded (and sometimes confusing) explanations before they get to the actual work. So I appreciate that this book skips that. It also has an answer key in the back, which is helpful for busy parents to check the work.
