FANTASTIC!
EASY SET UP! Good size! Worked great camping set up over picnic table and still had plenty of room!

A must have for solo campers! The canopy one person can erect.
I love my Clam. I often go camping alone and cannot erect the canopy we had. With the Clam, not only can I put it up myself, but the screening is a welcome protection from bugs.

So easy to set up, and the wind panels really work
We have 2 different Clam portable screen shelters, and we love them both. The 12 x 12 is large enough to accommodate an 8 ft picnic table at a campsite, but it folds enough to fit into the space we have available on the floor of our travel trailer. We can set it up in about 1 minute, and it takes only a little bit longer to take it down, because it has to be folded and stuffed into the bag.We love having the wind panels, although I wish we had known that they did not fasten the same as the panels on our other model. Because they only have 2 velcro attachments in addition to hooks at the top, and they do not have a flap that covers the top, they allow rain to dribble onto the screen. The panel for the door does not fasten at all except at the hooks at the corners, so it will sag and let rain blow in. We are considering adding velcro in the same locations as the side panels. The description does say wind panels, though, not rain panels, and we should have noticed that before we bought it.Still, with the panels up, most of the rain stays out, and the one thing we really like about these panels is that they can be loosened at the top while still be fastened along the sides with the velcro and the hooks at the bottom corners. This creates privacy around the bottom of the screen, and keeps the panels attached enough to be thrown back up quickly during a sudden, unexpected rain storm. Of course, the panels can be left attached or taken off for each independent side. The screen keeps out most bugs, but like any screen, not all. It is still great protection from bugs, and we love the fact that it provides a bit of shade while keeping stuff from falling onto the picnic table. The no-see-um mesh is fine enough to act as a bit of a wind screen itself, though, so it keeps breezes out on a hot day. That is the one drawback. We have had many people ask us where we got this screen after seeing how easy it is to put up and take down and how well it protects from bugs as well as the weather. It is a great addition to our camping gear.Three things to consider:1. The storage bag fits - barely. We get that storage space is a consideration, but the bag could be a bit longer and wider - especially when the screen has to be taken down wet.2. The screen comes with stakes, but they are not the best for hard surfaces. The campgrounds often have gravel pads. We purchased different stakes that work better in hard surfaces, stay put, yet pull out more easily.3. If purchasing the screen without panels, and you decide to get them later, make sure you get the correct panels for the model of screen you purchased. Also, I think some models do not have panels avaialbe. We really recommend getting the panels!

Love the Clam. The stakedown tabs need to be stronger.
We love our Clam. It has given us some wonderful memories while camping in bad weather in the past 4 years. The setup is easy once you figure out how to raise and lower it. There are a couple of things people should know, however. Don't believe what people say about high winds. At first ours was great in wind so long as you stake the sides so they don't pop in and bop you in the head. The last couple of times we have set ours up a storm front has blown through and now all but 2 anchoring tabs have torn off. We aren't sure how to fix them. Some of them completely ripped up so are unusable. The clam itself if fine, it is just now it can't be setup when there is any wind at all because we can't anchor the tent. Another thing is to be careful putting it up when it is windy. It turns into a giant sail. It knocked me into a metal fire pit one time. I had bruises on my butt for a couple of months. All in all, we love the Clam and if we can't figure out how to fix the tabs, we will get a new one. If we do get a new one, we will pull it down if a storm front is coming in however. Those tabs are the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If they were stronger this would be a perfect product.

Perfect size
Tried the 6x6 foot size cuz there is only 2 of us but it still seemed a bit cramped with 2 chairs & a small table. The 9x9 is great! Easy to install (one person can do it within a few minutes), great quality, sturdy especially when staked, keeps bugs out when zipped closed. Definitely buy it with at least 2 wind panels (we got 6) for use not only in blowing rain but sunshade on the sides. This product is well worth the price….gives us extra room for sitting & storage when camping. Folds nicely into its storage bag for easy transport.

Well made; easy set up for one person
Out of the box it weighs 18.6 lbs.Shipping box is 7.25" x 7.25" x 53" but the shelter itself is smaller around and slightly shorter. It fits nicely into my Prius (see photos), cross ways behind the front seats, in the back hatch, as well as tipped behind the driver's seat. The carrying bag is well made, with strong wrap around straps. The bag has a robust two way zipper. There are five plastic stakes - I will replace these with steel stakes, since I camp in all sorts of terrain, including rocky ground. And three tie down cords for the three sides. The instruction booklet is well written with photos, plus there’s a setup video at the Quick Set Shelters site at Customer Support Setup Instructions. There are good tips in the video. I recommend watching it. It takes longer to watch the video than to pop the shelter up.The inside of the shelter is actually a bit larger than 6' x 6' at the hubs, which protrude outwards; it’s 7' x 6.5' at the hubs. Very nice and roomy. Space for four adults on chairs, plus a small table. The build quality seems excellent. I cannot comment on water resistance since I've not yet had it in a rainstorm. It comes with three side panels for wind, each of which have a roll up window with a bug screen. These are very easy to attach.I am very pleased with this shelter.

Love love love it!
Love love love it! There's a trick to getting that first panel pulled out, but one person can set it up and take it down. And the bag is actually big enough that you don't need to have have gorilla strength to get it back in. I got the privacy panels too which effectively turns it into a tent for extra sleeping quarters if needed. Highly recommend!
