This design has yet to disappoint when opening a bottle of wine. While younger wines can be opened without incident by any corkscrew, this one makes it possible to remove corks as a single piece from double digit year old wines. While expensive, I have always relied on it to do a great job.

Excellent and perhaps the only cork extraction for old corks which will break with standard cork screws

I have successfully used the Durand to remove corks from wines that were 20-30+ years old without a single failure. No fishing out broken cork from my wines. Kind of expensive but does the job
