Cats hate getting their teeth brushed but has to be done. Works fine.

Cat accepts teeth being brushed when being held. I wish it came with more flavor options. In the package it looks a little funky with the fingertip brush being packed on top of the regular toothbrush but it is just a packaging thing. The finger brush and the handled toothbrush are indeed separate from each other. The toothpaste doesn't have an overpowering smell but as I mentioned wish there was a different flavor option.

We adopted an outdoor cat likely abandoned by the previous owner. We've been feeding him outside for almost 2 year (husband will feed anyone or anything that comes to the property) and he's been coming inside part-time for several month. Took him to the vet to get vaccines and a once-over. Vet said his teeth and gums are in bad shape (he's gained several pounds in the the last 2 years so it can't be affecting his eating too badly). I thought trying to brush his teeth would be worthwhile. This product not only has the toothbrush, but the toothpaste as well and at a third of the price of most other cat toothbrushes. Unfortunately, the cat seems to actively dislike the toothpaste - just on smell. It's only been a couple of days, but he runs away whenever the toothpaste is introduced near enough for him to smell. Doing identical things with just a finger and he's fine - put toothpaste on the finger (as suggested by a vet to ease into the process) is a big NOPE from the cat. We haven't gotten up to using the toothbrush yet as there are other things that are more urgent. I'm sure if your cat isn't repelled by the smell it would work great.

My kitten absolutely hated this taste. And then proceeded to throw up after I tried to brush it teeth. Not a good tooth paste

My cat hates her daily brushing. She hates the taste of this tooth paste. Which smells like a mix of human tooth paste and meat. If she sees me with the toothbrush in hand she'll try to hide. I am however very pleased with the results.Brushing my cat's teeth has done wonders for her health and eliminated her bad breath! So while my cat despises the brushing. My cat even does a better job grooming herself since I started brushing her teeth once per day and issues with inflamed gums and build on up her teeth are virtually gone now. I didn't expect this much improvement or I would have maybe tried to take before and after photo. Provided I could actually hold my cat down to do it.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you if the product works or not because my cats did not like the taste of it at all. My cats both clenched their teeth when I attempted to brush them and I left the toothpaste out on a dish so they could become interested in it - they weren’t interested. I ended up giving it to a local “buy nothing” group. I’ve seen other people post that they are giving away the product since because it did not work for their cat. I have no idea if it’s the original one I donated or if they were also unlucky enough to buy the item and it didn’t work.
