TekBox 2x SPEAKER STAND - Modern Black Glass Platform Units for Surround Sound TV Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Stands

Very stylish floor speaker stands. They are constructed in alloy box section and glass, giving a classy look to these stands. A little bit of self assembly is required, but nothing rocket science here. Very sturdy when assembled correctly and provide a very stable platform for my medium sized 3-way speakers. Also, as a bonus, they appear to be competitively priced.

These stands are relatively easy to assemble. The top and bottom plates are substantial, but the column is not as sturdy as I would have hoped. Because of the cable entries, it would not be easy to fill the column with sand or other heavy medium. The pointed feet (not really spikes), are not suited for thicker carpets and there is some slight wobble with the stand. I will need to get some proper spikes to increase stability.They do look good, though and don't take up much space. They are just the right height to place my speakers at ear height when I am on my sofa.

Although I’m new to the Hi-Res AV experience, these stands seem to be really excellent. Well made and stable, look good, competitive price, easy to assemble and the sound is so much better than without them. Highly recommended.

These stands look very nice, and will fit in with most decor. Assembly is easy, if a little fiddly, and the one tool required is supplied along with all the necessary components. Top and bottom of the uprights end up sealed with two plastic caps that clip into place. The weight of whatever you put on the stands is carried by an internal steel spindle, which screws into the top glass plate. The base plate is attached with a single bolt. There is nothing to attach a speaker directly to the top plate. Anti slip stick ons are supplied and do a good job. But this is maybe not good enough in households where small children might push against the speaker. The other small issue is the screw in points for the base plate. The thread is not machined perfectly, and so one or more fittings may end up being half to one millimetre different. Not a problem for carpets, but slightly less stable for wooden or laminate floors. The soft plastic floor protectors that are included eliminate this problem, but are also not fixed and rely on pressure from above to keep them in place. Fine, unless whoever is cleaning forgets and tries to push the stands out of the way when vacuuming. This said, I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

I was hesitant to order these after looking at some of the reviews, as it was suggested they were not very stable. But I’m glad I did as after assembling them, and tightened them up properly I found them very stable ,even on my carpet . The only niggle I had was getting the cables in the stems, as the centre rod tends to get in way of feeding them through. But really, for this price it’s worth putting up with this small inconvenience . I would certainly recommend these stands for anyone on a budget.
