White Rodgers Emerson 1F95-1277 Touchscreen 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, White

I have this EXACT model in my home from 2007 to today. It started going wild reading 10 Degrees inside the house therefore making the heater chase a fraudulent temp. Got his one, plugged it into my wall unit already wired for it and works perfect.

It came faster than promised - in pristine shape. In included the wall backplate which it doesn't say and I didn't need, but appreciate having a back up. I have two units in my house, same backplate, but one says White-Rogers on it yet they must have been purchased by Emerson who kept the model number consistent (helpful). This one fit perfectly and the back lighting is probably 3 times as strong as my other two units (which are a bit hard to see with out using a flashlight - young people would probably do okay). It is so bright it might bother some, stronger than a wall night light.My White-Rogers unit failed because the internal thermostat would not read correctly one time and this last time not at all. I used cold/warm to reactivate it one time, but this time no go so replaced.I was a bit anxious about buying used (45% savings) over new and from a private individual, but again great shape and works well and came early.The seller packed it in the original box with the quick-start guide - no manual (but I did find it on-line). The seller did NOT use any packing material inside the box (no bubble wrap or paper) so it was able to bounce around in the box - I think not smart, especially as UPS and USPS have broken things lately (not FedX surprisingly). Still this unit is durable or I got lucky, working very well.Other than the chancy packing, I give the seller 5 stars.

This unit replaced the same model I had for seven years. The backlight slowly faded out until I couldn’t read it at night without a flashlight. The new thermostat has an excellent back light, hope it does better than the previous one. The backlight comes on when you touch an icon on the screen, rather then touch anywhere on the front screen, which would better in dim light. The good is the programming is relatively easy as it follows logical steps. It works reliably, accurate temperature readings, easy to read, and looks good. One word of caution when installing: The instructions say pull the body off the base. When looking at the unit it is not obvious what is the body and base portions. Be careful, look closely, it comes apart without removing any screws or using any force. The base (back) snaps off from screen front portion.

The product was as described. I have dealt with these programmable thermostats before. Don't consider myself to be a pro but worked with heating and air conditioning for over 20 years. I love all the features of these stats. We have installed 6 new ones at our church within the last month. In doing so it has saved on utilities by allowing us to control temp parameters and prevent someone from leaving it On. What I really like is that you can password protect the programmed schedule but allow others to change only the temp within ur set temp parameters without password. This is a feature that only this stat has without going to expensive wifi stats. The wifi ones look/easy to work with. But some require app, separate control module for wifi option ($100 or more). Also what if wifi is dwn and some people are not accustomed to apps. I have done a lot of reasearch/calling many companies of all the major brands (Honeywell lux etc) all with same response of needing wifi stats. I wanted a stat that anyone could simply change the temp manuall with only a touch. They are very easy to program especially when u can pull the control module from the wall and go wherever to program. The large digital display is very easy to see and modify. I would highly recommend these types of stat.

Installed correctly and worked fine for three or four weeks . Then the inside temp display showed two lines instead of number ( - -) then never worked again . Even tried to reset it still no go ….

My gas bill on one of my rental properties increased to a $1000+ during the winter months in Chicago, I bought and installed this thermostat, unbelievable my next bill was $400+ for the first time in 2years.I feel so sad that I’ve been paying such amounts for gas for the past 2years. This thermostat saved me $600+I wish I could call the gas company to retrieve all the over payment that I’ve made for the past 2years.So far, this thermostat has saved me a lot of money.I don’t like to write reviews, but it would be unfair if I don’t respond to the review requests from this product.Im not writing this review to convince anyone to buy this product, that’s your choice. I’m just excited about how I was able to save $600+ on my monthly gas bill, due to the choice I made to buy this product.Nice product.

I like the size and the many functions display.

I had an old Emerson 1F95-1277, the front looks identical and it has the same number of connectors on the back. HOWEVER the pinout has changed -- the old O and B slots are now combined into an O/B and the L slot is moved to the bottom right.I initially used the same wall connector board and just popped on the new thermostat to it (since 1F95-1277 should be 1F95-1277 right? WRONG!). The result was the HEAT was coming on when I had COOL (AC) selected. Once I moved the old O wire up to where the O/B slot is listed on the new wall connector board, the AC came on when COOL is selected.So word to the wise, check the pinout/wiring to ensure it is the same, as even between 1F95-1277 copies it may be different.
