The best of this type on the market and great to use in place of pins
I have bought several different types of this same item over the last 30 or 40 years, and this is by far the best. There are two other brands of this item, both well known brands, one or both sold by a large fabric store chain. This one is only sold online. The other two have larger taks that do not feed through the machine and both types jammed constantly. Their needles were of lower quality and seemed to break constantly and were harder to find if you could find them at all. The taks were larger and seemed to jam in the machine frequently. The Quiltak is by far the easiest to use, and by far the most dependable, and by far outperforms the other two brands, and I know because I have owned both other types, plus another type made specifically to attach buttons . It is well worth the money. This machine never has jammed. Yes i broke a needle, but it was my fault, and it came with a spare, which was easy to replace. The taks are smaller and finer, and the vendor will send more taks or more needles literally within a couple days. These taks are so fine that I have sewn over them with both my serger and my Solaris and they do not break the needle and they do not damage my serger blades. I am using them now almost exclusively instead of straight pins or basting. I have broken so many needles or damaged my serger blades by sewing over pins .Quiltak also sells a specialized pair of scissors specifically made to cut the taks without cutting the fabric surrounding them. They have a kind of circular cutting mechanism, similar to the blades on clippers you use to clip your dog's nails. BTW, the taks made for the other two brands will not fit in this machine because they are not as fine.Recently, my husband used them to baste a hem on a tarp. This machine's needle is so sharp, it went right through THREE LAYERS of tarp with no problem whatsoever. And as recommended by the vendor, you do need to keep the guard on the needle when not using it because it is very sharp and it will draw blood. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Great, light weight, Pickleball shoes.
I really like how light weight these shoes are and they’ve lasted longer than other shoes I’ve tried. They support my ankles well on side to side motion. My biggest Pickleball expense is my shoes. I go through a pair about every 5-6 weeks. I play 3-4 hours a day 5-6 days a week and I wear the bottoms out.I bought a pair of these and they’ve lasted all summer playing outdoors and the last month indoors. The soles are starting to show a lot of wear so I just ordered a new pair as I transition to outdoor play in Arizona for the winter. For some reason my shoes don’t seem to last as long down there so it will be interesting to see how these hold up. I’ll probably use the first pair a few more weeks in Arizona. In the picture you can see I’ve worn through the black bottom sole in the heel and there are some flat spots in the front where the tread is gone. All in all these are great shoes for Pickleball.

Works but a learning curve
This is fast and easy and a sturdy device. You do have to make sure that your plastic piece goes all the way through however or you'll end up with a problem. If the little plastic bottom is between your quilt layers, you'll have to deal with that so learn to be careful. Also, it's not as easy to remove them as you'd think. Have a small pair of blunt end scissors and gently cut while placing a hand on the other end to retrieve the plastic bit. You do not want to go over it with your needle if it becomes stuck to the bottom of your quilt. But it is very, very fast and easy to use once you've mastered those two bits and there are lots of plastic bits that will work for several quilts without having to buy replacements right away. I do recommend.

This is the REAL DEAL. Very fine tags, gun works great
This basting gun is NOT anything like the cheap knockoffs! This was developed by a quilter. I bought it to try knowing I could just send it back. I’m keeping it. The tags are very fine, like a Clover silk needle. The space is 1/4” which is perfect for quilting. Does not shift.

Love this!
I read all the reviews and one person mentioned this product in their review as being superior. I've never used one of these before, but I LOVE not using dang pins!!!! I'm going to order the 1/4" ones as it will give a snugger fit, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing except to have someone else do the work!

Wonderful Product and well made
I just finished using this for the first time. The needle was broken right out of the package but luckily there was a replacement. I also had bought the white taks here on Amazon for backup. I found there was a little difference between the taks. Even though they totally look the same, it's odd, I know. The white taks didn't always go through. The colored ones that came with the gun worked perfect 99.9% of the time. So I am back here to order more of those but don't see any. I'll check their website. I hate to pin and just used clips around the circumference of the quilt, and tak'ed away. Easy peasey and I like that. Of course, as directed you don't tak where you are planning to sew, just tak adjacent to that line. How hard can that be? I'll use the tweezers and a pair of clips to remove the taks when I finish quilting. Thank you Amazon for another great product. Please carry their extra taks. I used quite a few and see I will use them up pretty easily.

An excellent tool for quiltmakers/
Highly recommended. I've had mine for 25 years and it's still in great condition - bought this one as a gift for a quilting friend. Makes basting a quilt even a king sized one, much easier, so much so that I honestly dont know what I would do without it.
