WorkKeys Secrets Study Guide: WorkKeys Practice Questions & Review for the ACT's WorkKeys Assessments (Mometrix Secrets Study Guides) Pap/Psc St Edition

I am an English Language Arts Instructional Coach for a large school district in South Carolina. Our state has instituted the ACT WorkKeys testing for all of our juniors. Last year the test was administered without our students being given any prep and without our teachers knowing the tests' components as well as the value of the test data. After reviewing our students' scores, we are in the process of educating ourselves about the test and finding ways of incorporating strategies in our schools to assist our students in preparation for the March 2 test. For those reasons, I have been researching product availability that would be a reliable source for tutorials. I purchased WorkKeys Secrets for that reason. After receiving the book on Sunday, January 10, I immediately began studying the strategies and working through some of the sample items. Since purchasing the book, I have shared the source with other colleagues who agree that we should purchase more copies to use in our tutorials

I have just begun to review the study guide and I am so excited about the endless possibilities of use. I love how the different areas of study - especially the mathematics - are broken down into mini-lessons with simple to follow reading coupled with examples. I can only anticipate how even easier the DVDs will make the learning. I love that there is not only a practice test but also the solutions with explanations for each question. What a great tool to have to enhance learning.Also, I have glance through the Table of Contents and noticed the information concerning tips for test taking. I believe that information will be invaluable as well.

The book covered everything that was on the work keys exam that I took, I got the highest score because I used this to study. The practice tests were so helpful and it explained the solutions so I knew what I needed to work on.

I’ve only had the book a couple days. First thing I’ve noticed is the Math is helpful at parts then kinda drops off and doesn’t really explain well enough. The worst part about this book so far is it’s in black and white with graphs and charts that are suppose to be in color. I’ve gotten questions wrong because I cannot tell what is what. Hopefully they fix this for future buyers. Overall happy with it, It’s showed me where I’m struggling.

I got this for my Wife and she really loves it. She says it takes you through each part with great examples and then has links to show a video of it so you can see the problem worked out on paper, then watch how it talks you through it. So there is both a visual and auditory guide to each area. Extremely helpful.

I use the math problems as a bell ringer activity with my welding students. Some of them need to pass the WorkKeys test in order to qualify for union apprenticeships like the Plumbers and Pipefitters or the Electricians. Repetition is the mother of all learning. Thank you for a great study aid for my students. I appreciate it.

I have a mixed review on this book as I found that yes, it helps you understand the types of problems that are going to be on the test and gets you into working both simple and complex problems. My issue is that I found problems that had the incorrect answer in the Math section. I only worked a few problems in other sections. Also found that some of the explanations on how to work the problems were more complex than they needed to be or were so difficult I gave up. Too bad it didn't come with a cd to walk you through the steps. I decided to wing it just go ahead and take the Work Keys test. Passed with a 5 on the Math, 6 on the Reading and Information sections. I think I could have done better on the Math if book was a little better.

Great book to help you get Ready even if you do not know anything. Great to help you with everything from test prep to testing anxiety.
