EM-1 is is a great choice for a plant soil inoculant, especially if you are growing organically. It adds a lot of life to your soil. I use it on all of my houseplants, veggies, herbs etc. You will notice a difference within a few days if not sooner after you first apply it. Plants are visibly more healthy and more responsive to light. EM-1 will help your plants use fertilizer more efficiently and it also helps with water retention in the soil. I apply it by itself @ 2tsp. per gallon of water between feedings, about once per month. There is not really any reason to use it more often than that. EM-1 is not only LABS but also contains photosynthetic bacteria and yeast culture. It also contains molasses, which helps to feed the bacteria in the soil as well as add sugar to your plants. It is a very effective probiotic soil inoculant that has many other uses as well. You can also use this with salt based nutrients as well to get some life into the soil. You can also dilute it for use with a sprayer and hose for use on your garden or lawn. EM-1 also helps with seed germination and rooting plant cuttings, clones etc.

Bioremediation works! This was good for spraying nutrients on herbs and houseplants. My lime tree flourished with this poured diluted into the ground/pot. My yield grew and plants looked healthier. So many uses like odor removal if you have dogs/farm animals. Keeps flies/odor at bay. Farmers/Growers in Okinawa use in their barns and claim animals are happier, fruit is sweeter, air is cleansed naturally.

Great product

It is what it is and that is an active microbial that works for your composting needs. It’s easy to use, just open the bottle and add it to your compost container to help get things to breaking down faster so your plants can get to growing bigger. The bottle is small but if you’re composting in a smaller container like we do then this is the perfect amount for your system. It’s a solid price for an item you need to help insure that your garden plants come out healthier and happier without all of the chemicals you find in the other stuff.

The photos on this need to be updated. They show water as the sole inactive ingredient but in fact it arrives with molasses in it. Will have to return.

Make sure you activate the em1 instead of using it directly from the bottle. You can find instructions on how to activate it on traffic their website. It's extremely easy to activate it, all you need is molasses and some time. I originally bought this for my plants, which it was worked wonderfully for. Plants are perkier, and I can use less fertilizer. After reading more about EM I decided to try it out in a few more areas. My chicken coop was starting to smell a little off, so I decided to put some of the em1 in a pump sprayer and spray the bedding area with it. After about two weeks the smell is noticably improving. My bathtub drain started turning a smell, and I tried using boiling water, being stuffs and vinegar but the smell came right back the next day. I poured a few caps full in the drain and let it sit overnight and the smell was gone after a few days. I'm sure I'll find more use for this product over time, but what I've used it for so far, it's worth the price for me.

Love this product! It was a learning curve at first. My friend recommended and nowhere on the container does it give instructions to activate it but when you go to their website there is tons of info. You can use it without activation but works better when you mix with organic molasses in a 1 gallon jug and let it sit for about a week. My plants are happy and I also put this in a sprayer ans spray my soil before planting crops for the season and then once more mid season.
