Want to know what the show "The Bear" is all about?
Juli Solar does a fantastic job of documenting the process behind one of the world's best restaurant, that does not exist any longer. Whilst watching The Bear, I can't help but see these processes in play throughout each episode, AND you get recipes. Now just spend tens of thousands of dollars on machines to make them, but for me it is a valuable addition to my hoarde of cookbooks, and will help me develop dishes worthy of my friends/families adoration.BTW: Kudos to the seller of this book for wrapping not one, or twice, but thriest! With plenty of extra padding in the box as well.

Arrived sealed and perfect. This book would make an excellent gift for any foodie or cook of any skill level. Beautiful.

top book on being a chef - the chef mindset - ever.... nothing compares
so , yeah most chef books - nice pics - glossy - well shot photos - recipes - some relevant copy - this book - has notes - sections to understand the mindset - answering the why of most things - yeah - mcgee is great - french laundry book is ok, escoffier of course - anything by bocusse - waiting for a good trosgrois book - but if you want one book - just one big a** book - take it with you everywhere - keep for life - read -learn - re read - and understand - this is the best book on food / restaurants ever.... i went to culinary school in 93 - been in and out of the biz since - no book compares to this.... a must read

The Pinnacle
The magic of this book is it's inspirational nature. It is the story of a creative genius responsible for the experience named multiple times "the best restaurant in the world." Although it is photo-driven, the careful reader will come away with message at the heart of the book: to succeed, creativity must be given ample time, place and patience. Nurture your creativity and the results will exceed your wildest expectations. I've long been fascinated with the creativity (which I feel is a universal human trait) and how to tease it out and optimize it in a process that makes sense. Ferran Adria managed to do that and, along the way, created a world-renowned restaurant and a new way of looking at food. That's the second takeaway of this book--your kitchen (any kitchen really) can be a laboratory; divorced from the confining assumptions about ingredients, the possibilities for new and exciting culinary creations are simply endless. For someone who loves food and creative cooking, this is just the book to inspire and spur creativity.

Amazing book!
It is a very detailed book about one day at elbulli. The photos help me to picture the large kitchen staff making all the food.

great book
A day at el Bulli is a gres t book with incredible insight into a day and life of Ferran Adria and the incredible industry changing restaurant. I would recomend this book to any chef or foody who loves high end culinary dining and is interested in how day to day workings of a michelin star restaurant's run and come up with ground breaking dishes.

My chef son loves this cookbook
I bought this cookbook for my son who is an executive chef. He had been wanting this cookbook for quite some time, and my daughter-in-law suggested it as a gift for Chrismtas this past year. It was not very expensive, especially compared to other famous chef's cookbooks, and he loves it!
