It’s a pound of lead.
Product as described. I received 16.3oz of 3/16” lead wire. I’m not sure what else to say. It’s a lead wire for fishing weights and similar applications.

Good for crab trap doors
The doors on my crab traps were very light. I was concerned that eel-grass and other underwater vegetation could hold them open, allowing crabs to escape. I used this lead to add weight to the doors, making them a bit harder to open.

Shorted by 1/2 ounce (received 439 grams, there are 454g/lb)
Not surprised based on the reviews, I suppose I should be happy that I was only short 15 grams as others were short up to 5-6 times that. I suspect that the product is not weighed out, but rather a fixed length is measured and packaged.

Great pencil lead
Great pencil lead. Just cut the weight you need stick it into a 3/16 surgical rubber with a snap swivel and you're ready to go. If it gets snagged the lead just pulls out of the surgical rubber.
