Great for Senior User
I worked as a secretary and then as purchasing agent for my company for many years. I was thrilled when Microsoft Office came out. I learned to use it forwards, backwards, and upside down. I loved the program and ended up being the tutor for all our engineers and sales personnel when they finally got around to having a PC on their desk. I even trained a few family members of some of our personnel. Even after I retired, I still had the basic edition of Microsoft Office on my home computer. Since I was no longer working, I saw no need to upgrade my Office program as I only used it for a few personal things around the house. Then, I decided to buy myself a laptop and it was a great decision. I have a vintage roll-top desk in my living room, and it is truly freeing to have one piece of equipment that handles all I need without all the clutter of my now very old desktop computer. I hadn't upgraded any of my Microsoft Office programs, because I really didn't feel as if there had been enough changes to be worth the cost since I was no longer working professionally. My new laptop, however, didn't agree. It offered all the Microsoft Office programs at a reasonable price and they could be purchased separately. I definitely didn't need all the extras ... Word, Excel, and Powerpoint were perfect for me. (or so I thought). The joke was on me. I may not have updated over the past few years, but Microsoft Office was moving right along with the changing times. So, here I sit with 3 powerful programs I once turned ever which way but loose when I needed to create professional looking documents, and I could barely figure out how to open them.At 70, I don't use them like I once did, but I do want to be able to move around and make changes to some of the more complicated forms I created years ago. So, Microsoft Office 2019 {for dummies) to the rescue. I still haven't figured out how to use half of the new features, but at least I can look them up and get a good idea of how to get where I want to go.This is a very good instructional book and has been extremely helpful in getting me up and running. I admit that I only tackle one problem at a time, but at least I can answer my own questions. Don't be put off by the "for dummies" part of the book. The only real dummies are those who refuse to ask for help, even from a book.

Technology is developing more and deeper. It is a great book to have and use everyday. The material is written in a plain language with many suggestions and visual material. Great purchase.

A good overview & step by step process for most everything you want in Office2019
I needed to figure out how to do branded name tags, through a mail merge in Word fro Excel, which turns out to be a multi step process, but all worked out with a lot of patience and a bit of measuring. I plan to use the book further for other less common projects and complex reports next.

Every computer user needs this
I love this. It’s become a staple for me and my job. It’s a quick and easy guide for the major business Microsoft programs all in one and even has an index you can use for the whole book.

Small pictures, print
Sorry but I can't go above 3 stars on this. Unless one already has a basic understanding, it's easy to get lost. Also, the pictures and print are too small for these old eyes. This book doesn't fit my needs
