I was struggling to cut slices of our crusty homemade bread with an old serrated bread knife. This new Victorinix knife is so sharp and easy to use! The slices cut through the crust without damaging the top if the loaf. Any variations in the slices are down to my skill or lack thereof. The knife is great. Be very careful when cleaning it, it will cut anything rubbed along the blade.

Super sharp, glides through sour dough loaves. Comfortable handle easy to grip. Watch out for blade as very easy to cut your fingers but it’s a lovely piece of kit.

Personally I dislike the plastic handle. However this is the best bread knife we have ever had, and we have had many over the past 35 years or so. Ergonomically nice to hold and cuts fresh crusty bread in thin slices so easily. Wish I had found this year's ago and saved a fortune on designer knifes and not been such a snob over plastic handles. I now also have smaller knifes in the same brand also with different colored plastic handles and intend expanding my new collection.

Excellent blade. Cuts really easily. It makes it easy to cut thin slices of bread. The handle is comfortable. It looks cheap, but the cost seems to have gone into the blade. If you want a good working knife at a reasonable cost it's the one for you, if you want a knife to look good on a display probably not.

Having recently gone off sliced bread I discovered that my old bread knife was not coping with sour dough loaves. Having always used Victorinox knives I thought I would treat myself to a Victorinox bread knife. What a dfference! This knife goes through even the crustiest loaf like butter. It is incredibly sharp so keep your fingers well out of the way.
