Draw-Tite 75540 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2 Inch Square Receiver, Compatible with 2016-2022 Lexus RX350 Except F Sport, 2016-2021 Lexus RX450h Except F Sport.

After watching several YouTube videos and reading the instructions, I installed this hitch on a 2021 RX450h. The installation turned out somewhat more time-consuming than I anticipated, mostly because of the need to trim the plastic cover piece that hides the undercarriage of the 450h. Removal of the plastic cover was very straightforward. After reading the instructions, I unbolted the muffler hanger bracket off the vehicle's frame and kept the bolts as indicated by the instructions. None of the YouTube videos that I watched indicated that this was part of the installation procedure. For those reviewers that have indicated this hitch won't work with a 450h, you might want to remember the term" rtfi". Installing the hitch was simple. I completed the entire installation in the driveway of my house. This particular model number of hitch does not require trimming of the bottom of the bumper as indicated on several online videos. It clears the bottom of the bumper by approximately 1/2 inch with no rubbing or interference. The muffler hanger bracket is reinstalled on the hitch bracket using the two bolts that originally held the bracket to the car's frame and nuts and washers supplied as part of the installation kit. Note that this lowers the muffler by approximately 2 and 1/2 in and the tailpipe is now visible after the hitch installation is completed. In the case of the Rx450h, The plastic trim cover needs to be trimmed to clear the hitch itself, and the sidebar of the hitch that attaches to the frame. I've included some photos for reference. It took longer to trim the plastic piece than to install the hitch. The hitch is well made, easy to install, and has quite the value over other sources of trailer hitches available online or from your local U-Haul dealer. It's also a whopping $400 less than the hitch sold by Lexus and that doesn't include the $800 that my local Lexus dealer wanted to install it.

This DOES fit an F-Sport! I put this on my 2016 RX350 F Sport. I had it unboxed and fully installed in less than 10 mins. Super easy install. Nothing touches the bumper, I didn't have to cut anything. I only had to remove the factory tow hook (since this is where the hitch mounts to). I will be using this for an always installed bike rack, and maybe a future mini-camper.

The hitch itself has been installed and is sturdy and strong. The good: the mounting holes lined up perfectly. The not so good: the Lexus has a plastic bottom shield that needs to be removed, which is no problem, but plastic pieces need to be cut out in order to re-install it once the hitch is installed. Eventually I managed to do this and re-install the plastic shield but this took several times of fitting, cutting etc and made this entire job last 3h. Installing the hitch itself is pretty smooth except the exhaust clamp needed to be removed, exhaust pushed away in order to get the hitch lined up with the mounting holes. Getting the exhaust back on the clamp is challenging because the hitch is now in the way. It will work eventually but another clamp would be best so the exhaust does not push against the hitch. I had to get a BIG ratchet at Lowes because my home and garden ratchet was simply not up to the job. The Lexus had two tow hooks installed where the hitch needs to be mounted and those bolts were ultra tight. With proper tools I was able to get the job done but just keep in mind that this may not be all as straight forward as of the reviews suggests. Your mileage may vary depending on make and model. Im glad that the job is done but it took some swearing like a sailor!

Have been using this for my bike rack for about 6 months now. Holding up pretty secure. There's a small amount of rust starting to form around some edge, don't think it'll be a big deal.

Just got the delivery and the black paint was off in several places. When I called them to ask if this was normal, they said I should spray paint it with a rust resistant paint and that it's normal for carriers to not transport it with care, damaging the paint. For maintenance I am fine doing that, but if I am buying a brand new item I do not expect to have to paint it before I use it. Sorry had to return and write this here so others are aware.

Not enough protection packing material inside the package box, there only two expandable pad and the tow hitch moving around inside the box. As the other review mentioned there are scratches and loss paints all over on the hitch bar body. Besides the scratches, I found couple spots of paint are peeled off not scratched off, should be because the quality of paint is bad. The cast iron body quality is solid and heavy duty, looks great. I wish they use better quality paint with primer before paint to protect the tow hitch body against rusting. I need to buy paint to touch up the bared / chipped spots.

I had only one problem and that was with USPS. They left a note on my door that this was too big to deliver. The Post office App to reschedule delivery didn't work. I then went to the Post Office and they had returned it to the shipper. The hitch again was shipped and a not left that it was too large to deliver. This time I went to the post office and pick it up before it was returned again. That was not fault of the shipper just a crazy local post office. The hitch was relatively easy to install. You do have to remove the plastic splash pan under the mount area. The bolts and holes aligned perfectly and it went on easily. You do have to cut a notch in the plastic splash pan to reinstall it. IT looks to be very strong with powder coat paint. Who can ask for more?

Perfect fit for my RX350 F-Sport Took me 20 minutes to install and the wiring kit is plug and play! Looks almost hidden and even the leg wave opens the hatch! I'm glad I didn't listen to all the complaints others were posting! This works on 2021 RX350 F-Sport !!!!!

install was very easy, and it has never been an issue.

This trailer bracket is great. I have a 2017 RX350 F-Sport and it installed perfectly without having to do any modifications. There is always some mixed information about F-Sport model but it works ans installs perfectly. Don't get suckered into buying a trailer bracket item at LEXUS or other trailer stores. Save your money and go with this.

What it is is what it is
