And that's fine. So I'll review it for what it is
I'm going to make this the kind of review where I call a spade a spade. This is a cheap, inexpensive, $20 product. I see that the price went up a few dollars since I bought it...but, truth is, this is not a fancy yogurt maker with bells and whistles or timer modes. This is the cheap model. And that's fine. So I'll review it for what it is.It has worked great for me to make multiple batches of yogurt. I haven't had a bad batch yet. I agree with other reviewers who said that the yogurt is ready in 6 hours (sometimes sooner for me.) And that's also fine by me. I literally bought this because I wanted to try my hand at home-made yogurt making. I read how easy it was, but didn't want to invest too much money. Let's admit it--we sometimes buy gadgets that never get used. I didn't want to spend a lot incase this was going to be one of them! If you're in that boat - this is a good, cheap way to dabble your hand in making home-made yogurts!I only ever have made plain yogurts. So I won't attest to adding fruits or anything since my whole goal was to make them as plain and unadulterated as possible. I can not always find a good plain yogurt with no other additives in the store. I have also made almond milk yogurts. They're a bit trickier, in my opinion, but you can definitely make non-dairy yogurts with this machine. Just don't blame the machine if your product is a little different - the machine is designed for a traditional dairy yogurt and those of you who eat vegan cuisine know you can expect slightly different products when using vegan bases. So, I would say that for about $20, you're going to make your money back on this machine in a few batches, to be quite honest. I buy grass-fed dairy milk or almond milk and finding the grass-fed or almond-milk yogurts is not only challenging at times, but, also requires me to pay "Whole Foods" prices. So you can imagine, after about 2-3 batches, my yogurt machine paid for itself. If you want the ease and convenience of a timer, pay a little more. If you don't mind not having the jars, use your crock pot. But, if you want a fairly convenient machine that comes with single serving sized jars, I'd recommend this little yogurt maker. The lid is a funny shape, but, call me quirky - I like it! I really have no complaints at all. As I said earlier, just check your yogurt after 5-6 hours. You'll likely find it done!Going to give this 5 stars..and believe me, I am not always an easy reviewer. But, as I said... you have to adjust your expectations to what you're paying for.

Worked great, for less than a month. One morning it was really, really hot, way hotter than usual, when I took the yogurt out of it and went to turn it off (wish I'd thought to stick a thermometer in the yogurt), and the next time I went to use it, it was dead.Since it was still in warranty, I sent it back (I had to pay shipping) and customer service promptly sent me a new one. Which did not work out of the box. Called customer service again and they said toss it and they would send a third one. After 3 weeks with no yogurt maker, I called again and they finally sent it (they did apologize and actually Fed Exed it overnight, which surprised me). This one at least worked out of the box but I don't have high hopes for it lasting very long. (Oh, and I'm shocked by the price increase to $44.99. Three months ago it was $25).

the last is significantly better than regular supermarket yogurt
My family has been using this yogurt maker for years and it gets the job done. It certainly is a lot healthier to make your own yogurt without all the additives and extra sweeteners. Also, the last is significantly better than regular supermarket yogurt. We have been able to make a wide variety of different yogurt drinks and products by this maker. The price also makes this a clear winner. We have saved quite a bit of money in the long run by purchasing this. Clean up is also really easy to and it is dishwasher safe. The glasses are made nice and it's just easy to pick one up out of the fridge and eat it straight from the container. All in all, this is an affordable, easy yogurt maker that makes up for it in the long run.

Affordable, practical yogurt maker
I bought this yogurt maker mostly because my husband wanted single servings, and I wanted glass jars. It's been fantastic in the two months we've had it - I make a batch or two a week. I'm not too particular about how I do things - I don't boil the milk first and I use a store bought yogurt as my starter (takes about half of a single serving yogurt to start a batch, I freeze the rest of it until needed again). I've not been timing my batches - I mostly make them on my days off from work, and leave them at least five or six hours before I start checking them. As soon as I shake a jar a little and it stays solid, they're ready to go into the fridge. After reading these reviews I was apprehensive about the lids on the jars being too tight. They're just perfect, in my estimation. They snap on and off easily, but are tight enough that I can carry the jars by their lids if I want to.I haven't had any issues with the unit sweating. Maybe that's because I don't put hot milk in there in the first place? The only reason this unit misses out on five stars is the lid of the whole unit. It's awful. It's hard to line up to place on the base. It doesn't stay on when I move the machine to put it away. It's just terrible design. Awful. The fact that the lip of the machine and the lid undulate doesn't help, and actually makes it impossible for me to ever jerry-rig another lid to fit the machine if I wanted to put a taller container of some sort into it. However, I can live with that as the single flaw in an otherwise great machine. I'd definitely recommend this product to others.

Not what I expected
I think I’m gonna throw it away and keep the cups. They are made of glass and have sealing lids which may be convenient for storing something small.

Good and easy to use machine
The machine is in excellent condition and light weighted, it is easy to mount to use. you just need to add culture into one liter of milk, and distribute the milk into seven glasses of bottles, and then mount these glass bottles on the machine. and you turn on the machine. it will cost one night time to ferment and then you will get seven bottles good home made yogurt you can indulge yourself. it is easy to clean in the dish washer. and you can add your favourite fruit chunk on the yogurt.

Perfect results for the lowest price
The yogurt turns out perfect every time. Depending on how often you consume yogurt, this inexpensive yogurt maker has paid for itself and I absolutely know there is nothing but goodness in each serving. The only thing I would say is a ‘dislike’ is that there is no ‘auto shut off’. For this price though, completely acceptable. Just set an alarm for when it’s ready. This has got to be the best but I’ve made on Amazon for the year!

Simple and straightforward
I had a difficult start. I know my yogurt starter and milk were fresh. But the yogurt was hardly set. I began to wonder if the appliance was defective and not reaching the right temperature. I tried again and used a wall outlet instead of my old reliable extension cord. It worked. The yogurt is creamy and tasty. Love it.
