The Last of Us Remastered (PS4)

Masterpiece. Binged in like a week. Didn’t sleep well. 10/10

A must game for any PS4 owner. Graphics are a bit dated considering this year we got GoW, Spiderman and RDR2 but the gameplay is still one of the best. The seamless interaction between story cutscenes and gameplay is amazing. Definitely a collector's item - obviously being a playstation hit. Also remember that you are getting the dlc in the remastered version so it's an added bonus content. If you are planning to pick up the sequel coming out next year, picking this up is a no brainer.

This game's a masterpiece fr , everything is great , every detail and the graphics are amazing , the motion capture etc. A must play game of you have a ps4 5 star for the packing and for the game.

Bought ps4 to experience this and wasn't disappointed! Truly amazing experience. No bugs, smooth gameplay and engaging story, lovable characters especially Ellie!

The last portion of the game could not be played..the disc was unresponsive.

One of the best productions by Naughty Dog !! Amazing gameplay and graphics gives you the chills while fighting the zombies. Not a very long duration game but definitely recommended for the gamers. Watch out for Jan 2020 as Last Of Us 2 is releasing. Play this game and you will love it !!

This is the best video game ever to be produced in Earth's history. I'm not exaggerating. I consider myself a pretty avid gamer and I've played some fantastic games. This game is every bit the masterpiece that countless professional reviews will claim. No other game has felt so... visceral and real as this one. There are hundreds of reviews that you can read about this game that will go over all the details, nuances and feelings that this game evokes, but I want to keep my opinion broad. Naughty Dog has a track record of producing some of the best video games the world has ever played. Uncharted 2 and 3 are clear examples of this. They have taken everything they have learned from decades of game-making and piled it into this emotionally-wrenching game. The story is half of this game, the other half being the gameplay. Both are absolutely spot-on. The story and characters are completely original and feel very real and grounded in reality. Some have said that it feels predictable, and while I won't deny that some things felt obvious I was absolutely surprised and horrified at some parts. The story has incredible pacing, allowing the action to die down while you are scavenging for supplies only to be ambushed minutes later forcing you to scavenge and fight for your life at the same time. You are introduced to new characters regularly to keep things moving and the feeling of progression feeling fresh. Supporting characters feel as real as the main characters and their actions show flaws and mistakes that everybody makes. Gameplay is among the best I've experienced. The Remastered version for the PS4 takes this even further by offering higher-resolution and double the framerate of the PS3 version. The weapons all feel powerful in their own right. The real-time weapon-crafting system is great. I've played other games (such as Resident Evil 5) that have done a terrible job at real-time inventory management but The Last of Us nails it. It's easily accessible, easy to use and absolutely manages to give a real sense of urgency when you have to make a molotov cocktail while clickers are searching for you. Enemy AI is good, especially at higher difficulties. If you are an experienced gamer, I'd recommend "Hard" to start with. "Normal" tends to throw supplies at you too abundantly and I found myself creating weapons I didn't need just so I could pick up more supplies. My only complaint with gameplay is that I feel as though Joel's character should really have a knife on him rather than creating breakable shivs. I realize it's largely there to create additional gameplay elements, but it tends to break the immersion at times. The visuals in this game are beyond stunning. The PS3 version was absolutely breathtaking (especially for 8-year-old hardware) and the Remastered edition cranks the visuals up to 11. The environment is really its own character in this game and the enhanced visuals really help bring that character to life. The game plays in full 1080p @ 60FPS. There's an option to lock the framerate at 30 FPS to get the feeling of the original game. And for those who claim they can't tell the difference between 30 and 60, they're lying. Lock this game at 30 and the difference is quite jarring. It's by no means unplayable at 30 but the increased framerate is a very welcome addition. This version includes the same Photo Mode that was introduced with inFamous: Second Son. It's an incredible photographic tool for creating screenshots. It can be activated at any time that isn't a scripted cutscene and gives you full cinematic control over the frame, then allows you to create screenshots with the controller's SHARE button. This game is the absolute pinnacle of storytelling in video games. Every other narrative I will now judge against this game. If anybody ever questioned whether video games are art, this game can answer that question definitively. It's better than any book I've read or movie I've watched, it is an art form and the most beautiful one I've ever experienced, regardless of medium.

The best game I ever played in my life. The reason he made me buy Ps3, and now I bought it for my wife, who also loved the game. Looking forward to the next!
