Besides saltiness and just a little too much potato (which is good if you're feeding and hungry) this is such a fine, convenient well received product. I really like the 300 calories, packaging for shelfs, amount, flavor, and easy of one minute microwaving. The meat and potato is like a home cooked meal with the protein you need. Nice job big company. Future easy food. Decent price point.

good quick lunch or dinner all flavors i tried were acceptable

As a diabetic sometimes I need to eat something quick. It is always best for me to eat something with sufficient protein along with carbs for a quick sugar fix. While these aren't the greatest tasting meals in the world, they certainly are quick. One minute in the microwave and you can just wolf it down.

Okay, all else aside and with no filters on my thoughts, this particular Hormel meal is just one I will forever avoid.To be fully honest as well, I ordered two boxes of this flavor as well as six others and set them aside in our hurricane locker simply to have meals ready that are easy to prepare and don't require refrigerationWe all know up front that these aren't advertised as gourmet dishes so with that being said they're advantage is that they have a decent shelf life and don't take up that much room and are quick and easy to prepare and if need be can even be eating cold.I've tried many of their products over the years and to date I've never had one, until now, that I would simply rather go without a meal than to have to eat it.Now enter their meatloaf I'm with that I can honestly say that I will set these all the way in the back as I ordered a total of 14, and they would and or will be the last ones standing and I promise that I will do all I can to gift them away to others that don't have any provisions in their hurricane locker.Please make it be alive but I'd much rather someone else benefit from any nutritional value this particular meal May have.I honestly can't remember the last time I had one of their meatloaf dishes but I do not remember them being like this in that it tasted like a compressed slab of meat product that I honestly don't believe my dog would have eaten and are chosen over top of the canned food that we currently give him. And I thought was quickly put to the test and neither the cat nor the dog chose to eat the meatloaf from this package and opted instead to eat their canned wet food prior to and then just casually sniffed at it and licked I meatloaf well continuously giving us that why did you do this to me look on their face before walking away and leaving it in their dishNo, had to put this out and this out only then maybe it would have been a different story and they would have eaten it but I honestly didn't think that would have been fair to either of them.The other meals that Hormel have available are, simply put, best student or hiking and camping trips as well as filling avoid and your stomach quickly without any preparation and virtually no cleanup. For this purpose they are ideally suited and are comparable and taste and flavor to many of the MREs you'll find for sale these days.All in all the Hormel products are suitable for any of the above specified needs and uses, however this is the one meal package that I will never purchase again and cannot in good conscious recommend anyone else purchase either

Good quality and flavorful. Mashed potatoes are substantial and not watery. Meatloaf is meaty with mushroom gravy. Price is great when purchased in a 6 pack. Calories are low as a bonus. Perfect for the calorie conscious who want to eat in a hurry.
