A pillow that actually works!
I was very skeptical of this item, because I've never had a single product that is supposed to help with snoring that worked. I have a really bad snoring problem, and slight acid reflux issues, on top of really bad allergies. I want others who may be skeptical to hear how this pillow performs. I'm a big dude too, so that being said, this pillow has held my upper body weight excellently over the last couple of months of nightly use. My acid reflux is completely gone, and I'm getting a much better night's sleep. I love the incline and it was awkward at first, but it's really relaxing. I sleep on my side and stomach, and often on my arms, so this has kept me from using my arms as a pillow more often. I still have a tendency to slide my arm under the wedge, but that's fine because I don't wake up with my hands asleep anymore. My wife says I'm snoring way less, and maybe once or twice a week she wakes me up to tell me to stop snoring now. This is mainly because I sometimes slide down the pillow and don't stay elevated. So while this doesn't completely stop my snoring, it makes a huge difference. I was being woken up at least 2 to 3 times a night before for snoring, and was always tired every day after sleeping, feeling like I didn't get much sleep at all. This product really helped me, not just from a medical standpoint, but also mentally. Being able to sleep 7 or 8 hours soundly, is a big deal to me. If anyone reading this knows about being woken up for snoring, and also understands that tired feeling the next day, you'll know what I mean. So all in all this is a great product, and it does what it says, it's very hypoallergenic and reduces snoring, and really helps with reflux. I love it, and can't imagine sleeping without it now. I highly recommend this pillow!

This is not your typical pillow
I bought this pillow with the thought that it MIGHT reduce the frequency of migraine headaches, by keeping my head up more than a conventional pillow. Nearly all of my painful headaches begin after 2 AM and, in some desperation, concocted the theory that maybe the position of my head was contributing to the development of a migraine. So even though I already was using a very high quality foam pillow, I would give this pillow a try. Thus far, it appears that my theory is unsupported (haha) by this new pillow. Nonetheless, I am not giving up yet. I do sleep quite well with it, although it did take some careful positioning to get it to work with me. I think my somewhat critical STAR ratings are based on a comparison of the considerably more expensive pillow I already own. The foam used in this pillow is okay, but it's not terrific. It's not as form fitting as a conventional higher end foam pillow ... but it isn't bad and you might really like the different support it gives your head and shoulders.

Finally sleeping comfortably and NOT TOO HOT!
I'm a back sleeper with two issues: I have occasional acid reflux AND I've got a big butt (and I cannot lie). I have tried everything to emulate a gentle incline and nothing worked until I got this wedge pillow. At first I worried the incline was not tall enough, but I've had it for two weeks and I'm sleeping soundly, staying asleep, and waking without pain. I have a large frame, but this is comfortably wide and I don't feel like I'm going to roll off the side. While lying on my back, I do not use a head pillow, but if I turn to my side, I have a small pillow that I use on top of the wedge. I was pleasantly surprised that the memory foam didn't make me too hot, as I am typically a VERY HOT sleeper. The incline is enough to discourage my occasional acid reflux. Even better, the wedge pillow plus a pillow under my knees helps push my lower back into the mattress, which is a pain point because of the aforementioned big butt. As my husband says, "you are one picky woman," so I hope this will help others make a decision! I researched extensively before deciding on this wedge pillow and am glad I found this.

The Smell Though
The angle of the pillow and comfort level are great but I’ve just had to put it outside because the smell was SO intense. I’ve been using it for one day and the smell was just so strong it was making me feel unwell. I did some googling and I have it marinating in baking soda outside to try to help - fingers crossed. Update: After 2 or 3 days outside on our patio covered in baking soda, I shook it off and put the case back on and the odor is gone!

Not a snoring cure, but...
This past year, my husband's occassional snoring morphed into a nightly test of our twenty year relationship. We tried everything. First, earplugs. I got foam ones. Then silicon ones. Then fancy snorr-stopping pink noise producing ones. I took sleeping pills to try to sleep more deeply, both natural ones and prescription. He tried mouth guards (which worked but gave him jaw pain and migraines), tongue things that looked like adult pacifiers, and just sleeping on the couch. I'd finally settled on foam ear plugs coupled with headband headphones playing pink noise thru my phone. It wasn't perfect, because rthe headband headphones slip around at night and I would wake up and have to readjust, or my phone would just randomly decide I was listening too loud and reduce the volume. But having my husband on the couch was not ideal for anyone. Our house is too small for him to be camping there. So when I finally decided to get him this pillow, I was not expecting a miracle. And it isn't. He hasn't stopped snoring, BUT it has reduced both the frequency and intensity of his snores--from every night log-sawing to occasional soft puttering. I no longer wear my headphone headband. While I still use my foam earplugs, I think that's only because I've grown used to them. I tried to fall asleep without them last night (before my husband was even in bed, but couldn't). That being said, they often fall out as I roll around in bed and since getting this pillow, earplugs or no, I've only had to poke him to roll over once! Does it have a smell? Yes. We left it on the porch for a couple days to let the foam air out. We had a similar experience with our memory foam mattress and our natural latex pillows. If you are sensitive to smells of that kind, it may be a problem for you. Does he slide down? Yes. Sometimes. He's working on figuring out how to stay farther up on the pillow. He rolls from his side to his back pretty regularly and is comfortable sleeping on this pillow in either position. He says it's not necessarily his ideal sleeping position, but that it's not uncomfortable either. Since he also gets acid reflux/heartburn, it's been better for that too. He worried, having previous back problems, that this would hurt his back. But he hasn't had any issues. We have a queen bed and I am the usual bed hog. This pillow hasn't taken up any more of my space. Not that I would care if it did, as long as I can sleep thru the night with my partner beside me! After months of searching, tons of money thrown away, and countless sleepless nights... this has helped us tremendously. As I said, it's not a cure for snoring, but it has reduced it so much that I had to take the time to tap this review out on my phone just to share our results. Try this first!

Chemical Fumes Never Went Away
After I tried other wedge pillows that were like sleeping on a board, this pillow is the softest and by far the most comfortable pillow. Yet it's still firm enough to provide support. UPDATE: Since the first Xtreme Comforts pillow worked so well, I gave it to my husband to help with his snoring and bought another one for myself. Again, it needs to air out for about 10 days to eliminate the chemical odor, but it's worth it for the most comfortable wedge pillow I've ever had (and I've tried a number of them). Highly recommend. SECOND UPDATE: I have such mixed feelings about the pillow. It's the only pillow I've found that's really comfortable, but it's been almost 3 weeks, and I'm still airing it out to totally get rid of the odor. When I bring it in and try it, I start to get burning and tightness in my head due to whatever chemical (or glue?) is used. I love this pillow so much, so I've taken back the one I lent my husband and am using the old one until this one is totally aired out. However long it takes, I know it will be a great pillow once I can use it. THIRD UPDATE: I'm so frustrated because this is the most comfortable pillow. I kept using my old pillow and tried to lie on the new pillow occasionally to see if the chemical fumes had subsided. But after over 10 MONTHS, the fumes are still there. After a short time on the pillow, it's dizziness, headache and burning throat. I'm having to throw the newer pillow in the trash. So disappointed!

LIFESAVER FOR NECK PAIN WHILE SLEEPING OR LAYING DOWN. A+
Wow. Wish I had bought this years ago. I have had two neck surgeries (one recent and one I am still in recovery from) and I also suffer from debilitating neck spasms when I sleep. I would always wake up with a very painful neck. I wake up with GREATLY reduced discomfort. I almost don't want to get up! (My neck will hurt from being up after a few hours, but not related to the this bed wedge at all.) Some things I noticed and like: (1) It's the perfect height to sleep (on your back OR your side); (2) the Memory Comfort Foam is a must -- DO NOT BUT ONE WITHOUT IT - they're hard as a board. This wedge has exactly enough foam to be comfortable, but not so much that you sink into a valley like to many memory foam pillows. (3) It has a removable cover that can be washed. (4) It is a perfect size -- it doesn't take over your bed space. I made that mistake when I once ordered a leg pillow for back support that was so wide, it took up too much space on a queen size bed. PS, I didn't get any out-gas chemical odor on my wedge. I opened it in a spare room just in case, but it proved unnecessary. It comes rolled tight but "unwinds" very quickly. Excellent product.
