Amazing quality for the price
Overview & Key Features• Triple-Channel Recording: Captures 4K front, plus 1080p inside and rear views, delivering comprehensive coverage and eliminating blind spots. It boasts a 176° front lens and 160° lenses inside/rear. • Sony STARVIS IMX662 Sensor: Paired with F1.5 aperture and eight-element glass lenses, this setup ensures good low-light clarity using WDR/HDR to balance highlights and shadows. • Fast 5 GHz Wi-Fi & App Control: Easily preview, download, or share footage via smartphone—no need to remove the SD card. • Loop Recording & G-Sensor: Automatic overwrite of old files, with collision-triggered video lock to preserve evidence. • Dual Parking Mode:• Internal Battery Mode: Activates recording upon vibration, no extra wiring needed.• 24-H Hardwire Mode: Requires additional 3-lead kit (sold separately). • Build & Warranty: Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy for thermal stability, armed with a free 64 GB high-speed SD card, 10-year warranty, and lifelong tech support. ⸻What Works Well• High-Resolution Footage: Users report that “the video quality looks sharp, especially the front cam in 4K.” • Easy Setup: Buyers highlight the plug-and-play nature—setup is straightforward, and all three cameras power on immediately. • Exceptional Value: At around $40 (as stated on Amazon), the triple-screen, full-feature package delivers terrific bang for your buck. ⸻Some Considerations• Mixed Real-World Experiences: A Reddit user—though referring to an action camera, not specifically the X5—warned that “it’s a really bad dash camera… poor in low-light… will cost MUCH less but… perform much better.” They also stressed dash-specific models that auto-power on/off and handle heat better. This doesn’t reflect X5 directly but highlights the importance of choosing purpose-built dash cams.• Parking Power Setup: To access full 24-hour parking monitoring, you’ll need to buy and install the hardwire accessory separately—an extra step and cost. ⸻Overall VerdictThe Miden X5 is a high-value, feature-rich triple-channel dashcam—especially impressive for its ~$40 price tag. The 4K front lens, Sony STARVIS sensor, dual parking modes, comprehensive warranty, and included accessories make it an attractive option for budget-conscious drivers seeking wide coverage. If you prioritize official dash-cam reliability, auto power management, and top-tier low-light performance in extreme heat, you might consider higher-end dedicated models (e.g. BlackVue, Thinkware). But for most users, especially those wanting all-around protection at an affordable price, the X5 is a compelling choice. The only caveat: for full parking mode functionality, plan for an additional hardware purchase.

Surprisingly Great Dash Cam at a Budget Price
I’ve been using the Miden X5 dash cam (D001 model) for a while now, and I have to say, it performs way better than expected for something in this price range. I getting a front camera that records in true 4K, plus inside and rear cameras that shoot in full HD. The video quality is excellent daytime recordings are crisp and detailed, and even at night, the footage looks clean with good brightness and contrast. You can clearly see license plates, road signs, and even faces inside the car without any issues. I was also impressed by how well it handles glare from headlights or low-light conditions. It really does give you full 360° coverage around the vehicle, which adds a strong sense of security while driving or parked. The design is sleek and compact it sits on the windshield without blocking your view, and the suction mount is solid and doesn’t fall off like some cheap models. Setup was simple, and the user manual was clear. I love that it comes with a 64GB SD card included, so it was ready to use right out of the box. The WiFi feature and mobile app work smoothly. I connected my phone and could watch or download footage instantly without removing the memory card. Very handy if something happens on the road and you want to save the video quickly. It also has loop recording and a G-sensor that locks footage if there’s an impact, and the 24-hour parking monitor is a bonus feature I didn’t think I’d use, but now I love having it.There’s no annoying noise from the device it operates quietly and only gives voice alerts when needed. The built-in mic records clear sound inside the car, which might be useful if you’re ever dealing with an incident. Just keep in mind it doesn’t have a built-in battery it powers on when the car starts. If you want full-time parking monitoring, you might want to look into getting a hardwire kit. For me, it works perfectly as is, and I’m happy with how reliable it’s been so far.
