Evan-Moor is always a great curricular resource
I’ve been teaching for over 15 years and have always appreciated Evan-Moor. Their content is aligned well with the Common Core curriculum. The passages are short and engaging. All of them are sectioned by teaching standard—Inferences, Prediction, Describing Characters, etc. Great resource that I’ve used in my classroom for short assessment passages or homework.

No multiple choice questions
Great passages. I’m just not happy that all the questions are open ended. There are no multiple choice questions.

Quality Resource
I use these all the time. I have multiple grade levels and use them for easy reproducibles for small group intervention and enrichment time. The topics are interesting and they are not too babyish. I've used them all the way up to high school for struggling readers and kids have never complained about them being stupid or too "little kiddie".

Been using these books for years with both my kids. New 2018 editions are now written response instead of multiple choice. Disappointing. Also, was supposed to be new, but the first two pages were done by another kid already. Who would order a used workbook? Not worth the hassle of returning, but will not purchase this series any more.
