Does dc power pass thru filter to power roter at antenna?

The spec says 5MHz to 699MHz so it probably does not pass DC. And in most applications you don't need it to. Put it up on the antenna as the first thing. BEFORE the amplifier. BEFORE everything else. The point is to block strong 3G and cell phone signals that might overload your antenna amplifier.

We have a 5G tower close by, does it block 5G also?

The short answer yes. This filter is specific to the US TV channel lineup. As of July 3, 2020 the last of the channel repacks were completed. TV channels above 34 or 600MHz have been removed from the TV spectrum. The 600MHz was widely used for 4G LTE and now also includes 5G. Other filters cutoff at 800MHz which going back years ago was included in the US TV spectrum yet. The Channel Master cuts off at 600MHz the now current TV channel upper frequency limit. Again, this will filter 4G lTE and 5G.

will this work with a winegard lna200 boost xt preamplifier

Place the filter between the antenna and the preamplifier. You want to filter the offending signal before amplification, not afterwards. Antenna --> Filter --> LNA-200 --> TV.

Do i need a special cable, the picture shows the output (to tv) is not a screw on connection?

I am answering for my son who I bought it for.. it can be screwed into the cable line or directly into the back of the tv itself... I hope this helps....
