My first drone - easy to use and worked right away!
This drone is very well designed and packaged. After downloading the application to my phone and charging the battery (drone and adding batteries to the controller) it was ready to go. There are a number of great YouTube videos that make it very easy to do initial set up in configuration and preparing to fly. I connected to the drone to the phone application, set everything to beginner mode, and a few other very simple settings hit the start button and launch button and it was off into the sky. The GPS setting on the controller makes it very easy to keep track of the drone and to fly it at a low, initial level, take photographs, pan around, go up and down and so on and so forth. One of the most impressive aspects of the drone is how stable it is even in moderate winds. The drone never struggled to hold its position, and even when rising or dropping in elevation by using the controller, it was very stable, and this was evidenced by the quality of the video streaming back to the phone. When it came time to land, I simply pressed the return to home button, the drone immediately rose to the pre-set height ( to clear trees in the area) and navigated to within 1 foot of its original launching point. Very impressive! The video quality is absolutely 4K and the photos are also very high resolution. Super pleased. When finished with the drone, it’s very easy to fold up the arms and propellers and the controller and put it back into the really nice carrying case that comes with the drone from the company. The battery held power in the drone for well over 20 minutes and plenty of reserve power left (remembering that when it gets too low, the drone will automatically return to home and then shut down before depleting the battery power). The drone battery takes a bit of time to charge but not excessive. Bottom line, this is a great first drone, and although others may recommend starting out with something a bit more rudimentary, this was a breeze to fly for somebody who would never flown a drone before. 5 Stars!

Excellent GPS enabled drone that is feature rich for an amazing price.
I got this product as part of a lightning deal so I paid only $209.00 for this latest version of the drone. I read some reviews and everyone seems to think that this is a solid purchase and solid drone model. I received the drone and after registering it with the FAA and getting a suitable location to fly from using the B4UFLY app I took it up for the maiden flight. I have flown various drones including a non-GPS-enabled sport drone and I have to say the experience was awesome. The drone is very responsive. It is easy to set up and go through the calibration process for the initial flight. I used it in Beginner mode just till I got acclimated to the distances and heights for Return to Home at Beginner. Then I started to play with extending the ranges. I have a video that I took that goes with the image of a school close by the park I took off from. I would totally recommend this drone for someone that is looking to make the jump to a quality GPS-enabled drone with a gimble as the drone does take some very smooth video. Being the first flight I didn't push it to the limits yet but I can see already that this is one I am going to have a lot of fun with I would highly recommend this HS720G to anyone. It even comes in a cool carrying case to transport the drone, controller, spare props, battery and I purchased a landing pad which also fits in the case. My next purchase will be an additional battery so I can fly for extended periods but 20-26 on a single battery is not bad at all.

Great drone, cool features, affordable!
BLUF: Android users with capture issues. Press home and exit drone view, press capture button on controller to take a picture or video to SD card on drone. A workaround until the issue is resolved. Holy Stone support is very responsive and has been working with me on the details. I purchased this model for myself and the HS210F for my boys. Both models follow identical flight configurations so flight control from one model to another is seamless. Very detailed instructions and super responsive drones. I had one session with the HS720G so far and bombed it three times into bushes and a tree, at about 20' into the air, landing on concrete. This was mainly due to operator error and really not taking wind and speed into consideration as a net new pilot. But the HS720G is durable and no issues with continued flight. This drone is fast and super responsive, stable in moderate winds and survived my over enthusiasm to fly! Maybe I'll try the beginner mode on my next run :-) As an Android user, Pixel 6, I had a hard time capturing pictures or video. I could connect to the drone and view the live feed, but if I pressed the photo button on the controller or through the App, a prompt regarding local storage access pops up but the app doesn't actually make a request for storage. Totally not needed because an SD card is loaded into the drone so I tried disconnecting the live view using the home button on the OpheliaFly app, press the capture button on the controller and naturally it began recording pictures and video on the drone. Problem Solved! sort of :-) Holy Stone support has been super responsive on their live chat and super knowledgeable about the drone operation, troubleshooting etc. Despite the hiccup with the app and capturing, I'm super impressed by their support and the overall quality of the products! Really superb and worth the investment.

Awesome Quadcopter with Gimbal, 4K!!!!
First of all this is the new version of the HS720 and the "G" is for Gimbal which makes the camera stable regardless of wind or drone position. The purchased through Amazon was a breeze and the included coupons made the purchase outstanding. It arrived well packed and intact and the presentation was splendid. At first sight the Copter looks and feels as described and seems to be developed with better quality materials, the color scheme looks better than its predecessor and with the Gimbal the videos and pictures look very clear and in 4k. This drone is good for the beginner as well as the moderate pilots out there. After flying and using all the functions: follow me, return to home button, GPS and altitude hold, this quadcopter (drone) is amazing. Did I say the Photo and video quality rocks!!! Specially if you purchase individually a 128G SD Card. (Not Included) This is not my 1st quadcopter, I had many other older models from racers to first generation gimble camera attachments, large quadcopters heavy 1st generation ones and let me tell you as small as it is and for the price WAAAAOOOO! what a purchase. The only downside is that does not come with propeller guards and only comes with 1 battery, but you can get the prop guards here on Amazon I belive for around 13 bucks, something that Holy Stone might want to upgrade, but so far the all functions work as intended, the gps hold is working splendid and the copter does as it was designed to do. The app "Ophelia Fly" works perfect and keeps the drone flying flawlessly. The weight of this drone is 370 Grams, so you need to register it with the FAA (check the FAA website for any updates on drone flying). You may want to check the HS175D (215 Grams) if you are looking for a lighter drone and their latest version without a gimbal, smaller and best yet no need to register. HS720G Pro's 1. Price and Customer Service. 2. Quality materials and well constructed. 3. Easy to manage. All functions work as described. 3. Gimble for Camera Stability and Quality videos and pictures. 4. Discount Coupons. Cons: 1. No propeller guards included. But can be found here for around 13 dollars. 2. WEIGHT, 370Grams, NEEDS REGISTRATION WITH THE FAA. (Please check the FAA website for updates on new requirements for drones in 2022). 3. Only 1 Battery A good purchase if you're reconnecting yourself like me with quadcopters. Made for the beginner and avid enthusiast pilots that are getting back into flying. Please follow all FAA updates to avoid accidents and mishaps.

Great Intro to Drones
I got this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I think she put this on her list just on a whim from seeing ads for (inexpensive toy) drones all over social media and thought it might be fun to take when we go to the park. So, I looked at a couple models that seemed to be very popular with ads all over FB and IG for the holidays. I read specs and reviews, and came to realize that most of these items were really pretty simple toys lacking a lot of features and conveniences that would actually make this fun and easy experience. I learned about optical flow, return to home, follow me, way point modes, etc. But the thing that really set this particular drone apart for me was the reviews (mostly on Youtube) that talked about the 2 axis gimbal and how this really was a major difference in the quality of video you are receiving and recording. We just want to have fun, and not attempting any cinematic masterpieces, but after just a few times flying, I can say that the video recording onto the SD card really is great, very clear and smooth. Also Holy Stone has excellent review for build quality and customer service. I don't have anything to compare the experience to atm but will say the instructions were very clear and we had no problem getting the HS720G in the air or flying it. I don't think you can beat this drone for the number of features, quality, and price. It's been a perfect entry into the flying. So much so, that while my girlfriend is enjoying the 720G thoroughly, I've taken to playing some racing drone sims and learning about FPV drones lately with the intention of getting into the FPV hobby some time this year also.

Excellent drone and very stable
First off this is a nice sized drone not big and still under the FAA requirements to be registered. Functionally this drone is very easy to operate.video quality is good. At the first glance you can tell this is a good quality product.. comes in a very nice case and easy for the beginner to learn. This being my second drone and I am not an experienced flyer but was able to get up and going quickly. As far as range I have not pushed the limits but seems to be quite good. The only thing I might have liked to seen is a rechargeable controller as this requires 2 AA Batteries for the controller which has a nice led screen to show power of both the drone and controller as well as distance and height of where your drone is at. I would highly recommend this as a good starter trainer for someone looking to get into Ariel video photography. I had it out and flying with wind gust up to 15 mph. Can this drone appeared to be fairly stable even in this type of condition. The auto return home function was extremely nice, especially under these conditions. Looking forward to spending more time with this drone And learning more about his capacity and hopefully capture some really good video images. Having the Auto return for loss of signal or low battery is nice to ensure that you don’t lose your drone as I had said I would recommend this drone for beginners and intermediate drone flyers but as I get used to it, maybe I will find the ability to lie and quality of videos That this thing will capture to be good enough to produce some professional quality videos

Holystone HS720G — Honest Review, not safe - unpredictable & erratic
As someone who has been flying drones since the first DJI phantom, I could tell right away this one is not very good. I just wanted something in the 100$range to get me some wide shots on my travels. The Holystone HS720G is cheap, and you get what you pay for: Pro: Very low initial price Con: Cheap feel, fragile parts, and poor flight control that I can only label as "unsafe" If you’re looking for a budget drone with basic features, look past the Holystone HS720G. It’s inexpensive and comes with GPS and a 4K-capable camera — sounds great for the price. But in real-world use, several significant drawbacks severely limit its value. So unless you're planning to crash-test it or fly it into a volcano- just expect to be disappointed. ****Unpredictable Flight Behavior********* (unsafe) First flight, wide open, huge 2 acre parking lot, went up and within 5 seconds it had zero predictability. It just runs off. This is where the HS720G really disappoints. The drone struggles to hold position- it just drifts off and turns erratically which can cause serious harm to property or people - I narrowly avoided a catastrophic landing, the thing just isn't safe, and landed upside down. Looks cool, ok- the design and the case are cool - but feels cheap in your hands- it's fragile. Right from unboxing, the HS720G feels like a toy rather than a proper aerial camera platform: Plastic components feel brittle and lack the solid construction you expect even at lower price points. Folding arms and battery latches seem especially fragile...not confidence-inspiring for repeated travel or rough terrain. Fragile Parts = Frequent Worries Several components on the HS720G show weakness under minimal stress: Motor housings and prop guards are lightweight and bend easily. The camera mount can shift with minor jolts, leading to shaky footage. Screws are small and can loosen quickly... not ideal if you’re flying regularly. This is the kind of drone where you might find yourself replacing parts or reinforcing joints more often than flying. Camera Performance Isn’t Worth the Hassle Although marketed with a 4K camera, the footage quality rarely lives up to that expectation unless the lighting is perfect. Footage often looks shaky even on calm days due to unstable flight. Colors and detail don’t compete with better drones in the same price category. Gimbal stabilization is mediocre at best. If your goal is a reliable, stable, and durable flying camera, this is not the droid you're looking for.. It might serve as a fun budget toy around the backyard, that's about it. Returning this junk and getting a serious DJI model instead. Thanks for coming to my ted talk

THIS is the drone you want to get! The Holy Stone HS720g, an excellent drone!!
OK, to start off, I was debating between this one and a Tizzytoy 4K, 5GHz, GPS drone. I ended up getting the TizzyToy one to start out. The Tizzytoy one appears to have a few more features than this one, but in the end, the features are nearly the same. Some features that this drone has, that are not listed on the Amazon page are as follows: • This done does actually have a second, always downward-facing camera for it's optical flow mode. You cannot switch to it (at least I haven't found a way yet) in the app, but it is there. • This drone does have a 2 axis gimbal camera (be very careful when removing and replacing the gimbal cover, and remember to remove it before flying, and I'd recommend replacing it when not flying), but you only get to control one axis (camera looking straight ahead to straight down - 90º). This is a really cool feature though, because it allows the camera to be automatically stabilized by using the other axis during flight. I watched the camera stay aimed right where I put it while strafing the drone left and right, it was pretty cool to watch! • While it says it comes with a battery, it does, however only one, and it is for the drone only. However, what is not mentioned is that if you download their app for your cell phone ("Ophelia Fly" app) and click on the "Photo" tab, there is a small link/graphic in the upper left corner which says "Get Free Battery", and if you tap it and send the email, then follow the instructions in the reply, it will tell you what to do to receive a second drone battery for free! Please note though, the remote control does not come with batteries and it takes two AA batteries. Much better than a rechargeable remote though IMO (like the Tizzytoy), which will eventually become garbage when it will no longer hold a charge. • The final feature that is not listed on the Amazon page is that the HS720g has 5x zoom capability on the camera. This feature appears to only be available via the cell phone app, not via the remote control. In testing this drone and the TizzyToy one, this drone is much more stable (possibly because it is larger/heavier, and yes, you need to register this drone, whereas the TizzyToy one does not need to be registered) and it lands more "softly" by design. The biggest plus I have found as a novice drone flyer is HEADLESS MODE! All I can say is if you're like me (controlling your drone mainly by sight), USE IT! No matter which way the drone is facing, if I pull the right control stick toward me, the drone comes toward me. If I push the left control stick away from me, no matter which way the drone is facing, it moves away from me. Now, if you're flying FPV (First Person View) through your cell phone, then you will NOT want to use headless mode. But flying by sight, using the remote control, and not your cell phone's FPV, I find headless mode much more logical/easy. All of that to say that the HS720g is an excellent drone and is very fun to fly. I hope this review is helpful to others. P.S. Try to get it on sale if you can. I saw it listed for $209 over Christmas and I'm still kicking myself for not having picked it up then. I managed to snag it at 27% off though, which I believe is still well worth it!
