Best cleaner I’ve ever used.
Shopped for a tar remover and my son-in-law who is a self-proclaimed “car guy” steered me to the products at Griot’s Garage. The smudge remover is a top notch tar and bug remover. Spray, wait a few minutes, wipe, and BOOM! This stuff really work’s and should be in your garage supply if you care about car appearance.

Heed the warning and you'll love this stuff!
Man this stuff works! Quick spray, allow to sit for a few seconds then wipe the area and rinse thoroughly. Bugs are gone! Heed the warnings though, DO NOT let it dry on anything, especially plastic and do not use in a sunny area (it dried very fast in the sun).

Good but the price is doubled from $15 to $27
I used this as the surface activator and cleaner for headlight restoration. I also tried on car to removes bugs and tree sap and it works ok. I need to test more on this. From the price point, this is too expensive for $27. look elsewhere.

Works great…
This stuff works great just don’t use it on windshields. I figured a bug smear was a bug smear and while it does remove the bug it also applies a nice film. It’s not hard to remove it’s just not like a window cleaner which speaking of IMO Sprayway glass cleaner in a spray can works great on bugs anywhere. Does it take wax off? I don’t know. Does this product remove wax with the bugs? I also don’t know. I’m sticking with my glass cleaner or even just good automotive soap and some elbow grease. I haven’t found a bug remover yet that truly impresses me. They all cost too much and don’t work like you’d expected.

Shoo Fly!
Works very well both as a removal solution and a preventative application.

Removed dried cherries, stains from my car without damaging the paint.
I once found myself in quite the predicament, what you might call a "sticky situation." My vehicle, parked beneath a neighbor's neglected cherry tree, became the unintended target of a barrage of ripe cherries, bursting upon impact under the unforgiving sun. Temperatures soared into the high 90s and low 100s, baking the remnants onto my hood, windshield, and roof. After numerous failed attempts with various washes and home remedies, I faced a crossroads: repainting the car, filing an insurance claim (with the attendant bureaucratic nightmare), or, heaven forbid, confronting my neighbor. Enter Griot's Garage Bug and Smudge Remover, my last resort. To my utter delight, this product worked wonders, erasing every trace of those stubborn cherry remnants without a hint of damage to the paint. For best results, use a pressure washer or visit a self-service car wash, allow the solution to sit for a few minutes, then gently remove with a lint-free cloth. Trust me, this little gem is a lifesaver, sparing you from unsavory confrontations and costly repairs.

This stuff is magic!
Bought this for the first time to use on a 2 week long road trip to help keep my car clean and wow! This stuff is like magic for bug splatters! Note that it doesn't come off completely clean but really should be used as a pre-treatment for a wash. Since I was on the road I used this first then followed it up with some Chemical Guys waterless carwash spray and I was good to go. Once I made it home I used it prior to a full wash and it made the process of getting the car clean easier and faster. One last note, my care is fully covered in paint protection film (PPF) and it didn't hurt the PPF in any way whatsoever!
