HENCKELS Forged Accent 8" Chef's Knife, Black

I'm a bit chagrined to find Henkel's making their product in CHINA! It seems lighter in weight, and I thought it looks noticeably thinner than the Henkel's that I used to have back in the 90's... but I tried using it and its soooo ergonomic, as the Henkel's always were. It arrived RAZOR SHARP. It's been a long time since I owned one Henkel's knife; I used to always have one because it was my main tool by trade as a resort cook. I always sweared by Henkel's; they are the best long-lasting quality and ergonomic design which holds a good long-term sharp edge. They used to cost a fortune when they were only made in Germany; the price came down significantly in the mid-90's when they were made in South America. Now they are even less expensive being made in China; the cost of a cheap knife but still with Henkel's quality??? I'm flabberghasted! Cool deal ✨

This would be 5 star, but the blade isn't truly straight. It holds an edge and the grip feels great.

Need an all-around, multipurpose, reliable kitchen knife? This one will cut it! Good size, nice handle, excellent quality. It's a fan favorite in my kitchen.

Forged Accent 8-inch Chef's Knife, Black is not sharp as the website says. Website says "Forged Accent 8-inch Chef's Knife, Black is not sharp as the website says. Professional, satin-finished blade boasts precision cutting and is finely honed for long-lasting sharpness". Sharp? Not even close, my very old HENCKELS knife I replaced was better than this one. Very disappointed. I could not believe it, dull as can be, try to cut a tomatoes, all it does is crush them, not a slice even sawing them. Mistake. I saw others say the same thing, thought no, can't be right. I was wrong. Can't return tossed the packaging. for what it's worth I also ordered the HENCKELS Forged Accent Razor-Sharp 5.5-inch Compact Chef Knife, and HENCKELS Forged Accent Razor-Sharp 2-pc Paring Knife Set, ENCKELS Forged Accent Razor-Sharp 3.5-inch Paring Knife. None are sharp. Took a chance ordered the Henckels Forged Accent 8-inch Chef's Knife, Black. This one was sharper. What do I need to do? Sharpen before using
