Exceptional quality 100% heavyweight cotton
I ordered a set of 2 in the standard size, and couldn’t believe the heavyweight quality for such a reasonable price. I have very expensive 750 fill goose down pillows that are almost too big for standard protecters/cases and these went right on with no struggle. Even stayed true to size with no shrinkage after washing/drying. The weave is so tight they were still incredibly stiff I was a little worried they would be uncomfortable. But that doesn’t negatively affect the feel of the pillow or outer case at all. The zipper is super sturdy too. And is well placed so you don’t feel it. These protecters will definitely keep your pillows clean and prevent yellowing. I will be ordering enough for all the pillows in my house! Honestly, I wouldn’t have imagined being this excited about purchasing pillow protectors

Excellent quality
The quality of this pillow protector is excellent. The 300 thread count provides a soft feel and will give added protection between the pillow and the pillowcase. I’ve paid multiple times this price in the past for the same quality.

Good product but strong chemical smell from packaging
I have mixed feelings about these protectors. I like them enough to own about 10 for my own and other family members' pillows. Pros: -100% cotton with a small micron pore size (very hard to come by with 100% cotton) -Oeko Tex certification for safety -Affordable multipacks and frequent discounts. Cons: -Chemical smell from the packaging is so strong for all but one set that I have bought! I actually returned the first set because I thought there was something wrong due to the smell. Biokleen odor/stain remover is the only thing that has gotten rid of the smell. An enzyme-based laundry detergent might work, but I have not tried one. My process for removing the odor: air pillowcases outside right out of the package with the zippers open; 1st wash - by themselves with detergent and baking soda & hang dry (dryer can set in bad smells); 2nd wash - spray them down with BioKleen odor remover generously (start with spraying on the inside) and let them then hang or lay flat for between 5 minutes to 24 hours, (optional next step: soak in warm water and detergent and remaining Biokleen for 30-90 minutes), wash them on warm with detergent and free and clear Oxyclean powder (2nd wash can be with other items such as sheets). Air dry pillow protectors even if you use the dryer for the other items. Do a sniff test the next day and repeat 2nd wash steps if necessary. Usually they are fine by this point. None of my current protectors smell anymore after this method, so I am convinced the smell is from the packaging. These protectors seem to be tightly stored in vinyl packaging without any air circulation to prevent allergen contamination. With prolonged storage (possibly in hot amazon warehouses), this creates a strong chemical smell. My cleaning method might seem a bit over the top, but I am very sensitive to smells and this method gets rid of all chemical odors. -Zippers are not the best. Many of them are not truly auto locking. I wish there was a metal tab from them to lock into. The stitching for the zippers also is a bit weak. I would recommend sizing up so as not to put any stress on the zippers. -Addressing other reviews: these are thicker and not as silky a regular cotton pillowcase because the cotton fibers have to be tightly woven to keep out allergies. This is a good thing, and I do not notice it under pillowcases. I do not find them to be noisy. They certainly do not crinkle like plastic waterproof protectors sometimes do. Also, do not use fabric softener (other than white vinegar) if you want to use these for allergy protection.

Good quality
This seems thick and substantial. I believe it has good quality and I’m hopeful for good durability as I wash sheets weekly.

Good quality and value for the price, so far -- sized a bit on the large side
Pillow protectors are really important for your investment in good quality pillows. Wetness from sleep can easily seep through a pillowcase and leech into the cotton fabric casing of your pillow, making it stained or yellowing the overall color over time. Considering that a really good goose down feather pillow can go between $70 and $140 on average, spending $10~$20 on a very good pillow protector is just smart thinking. I've gone through about two dozen pillow protectors over the years. What usually happens is that the fabric isn't as resilient as expected and will end up yellowing over time. I often forget to launder mine, remembering once every few washes. In some cases, the protector will reach a point where it's not providing enough of a barrier and allow staining moisture to sneak past. Or, the zipper ends up breaking. I finally decided that buying cheap pillow protectors to throw away every couple of years is just not smart. This time I invested more. This pillow protector set by National Allergy was on sale, so I got two for $13.50. The first thing I noticed is that the fabric is a bit stiff. But this is something that softens up over time, thankfully. It does have a cotton-like shell that feels like good quality. On the flipside, there's a treatment of some kind that feels like it's water repellent, without being a sort of all plastic 100% waterproof barrier. It does breathe. The zipper is not along the edge, but instead about an inch back from the edge on one side, which is a smart design--reduces stress on the zipper teeth. One thing that kind of surprised me. This is a queen size, but it appears to be 20" by 31". I happen to have a "short queen" that's in between standard and usual queen, coming in at 28" long. So, I end up with 3" extra material. It's not a huge deal, because I fold that over and push that through the pillow case first. The fold stays, it lays flat, and the pillow feels fine. Because it takes a good long while of use to figure out if a pillow protector is going to hold up, I'll have to come back at a later point to follow up.

Nice quality.
Nice. Soft. Good size even after being washed and dried. I am a little concerned with the very small tooth sized zipper and how long it will hold up but since I won’t be removing the protector that often hopefully it won’t break.

These covers are soft and silky right out of the box. A little stiff but once the pillow is in you don't notice. Zip is very smooth too. Well made!

This is my second purchase. The first order was purchased a year ago and the product was great. The second order was much cheaper, but the items are very dirty with mold growth and yellow dots all over the place. I can't believe Amazon is selling something like that!
