Medium. I measured my head and it is about 22 1/4. I bought the medium it fits great. because it has a drawstring it would fit an even larger head.

Q: what is the length of the brim from the front middle of the hat to the end of the brim?

Its almost 3 inch great hat packs up great going to buy another one

Christien, Good afternoon. No, we do not recommend that you put this in the washer. We recommend spot cleaning with a damp wash cloth and let air dry. You can also check with your local dry cleaners, they might be able to help you clean this type of cap. Thank you, Michelle

Yes. I'm also a medium, same size and it fits perfectly. I also bought a large and I was able to adjust it.
