haakaa Gen.2 Manual Breast Pump 150ml/5.4oz

The Haakaa is great for saving every drop of precious breastmilk and even works for regular pumping to create a freezer stash. It's not as quick as an electronic pump, but in my opinion it's more convenient. No loud noises with this one. No cumbersome cleaning of endless little parts and tubes. You don't have to hold it to the breast, since it sucks onto it and stays there. The suction is not as uncomfortable as with some other breast pumps. You can use it while feeding baby on the other side and catch whatever would otherwise just drip into your bra. And I've even used it for relieving clogged milk ducts. It will not stimulate excessive milk production because the suction is gentler. Best purchase and gift for breastfeeding moms!

I’ve used the gen. 1 in the past and I can confidently say that the gen. 2 reigns supreme! The stable base alone makes it worth it, although I don’t tend to use the suction cup feature of the base. The larger capacity is also a nice option. I would love to see a stopper or a cover added to this to ensure that milk doesn’t spill if it happens to get hit or knocked over.

My 5 month old baby girl gets distracted when I pump and feed, her hands always find a way to pull any pump off. I have Ameda, Evenflo hand pump and Haakaa 4oz and Haakaa 5oz (bigger flange for my bigger breasts). I decided to try this 5 oz product. Pictured is the Haakaa silicone suction pump 5 oz vs Ameda hospital grade electric pump, in 5 minutes Haakaa got 3 ounces pumped while Ameda had only 1 ounce pumped. I matched the suction on Ameda (level4) to the Haakaa as best I could feel and my left side that Ameda was on is sore while the right side that Haakaa was on feels normal. It is worth mentioning that Haakaa had continuous suction while Ameda has a suction then release action as if to imitate baby sucking. It took a few tries to figure out haakaa but once I got it down I find myself reaching for Haakaa over my Ameda and the Evenflo hand pump. I also pumped using Haakaa while breastfeeding and even though my girl was still fiddling with the pump, the round shape made it simple to hold on to the Haakaa and put back in place using one hand. Clean up is effortless due to no extra pieces to wash and dry. Overall Haakaa works well for me and my situation.

This is a must-have item if you are nursing to both boost/maintain your breastmilk supply and build a freezer stash for your baby. I am 4 weeks postpartum and I put haakaa on once or twice a day in the morning with feeds and I yield approximately between 3-5 ounces of breastmilk per day right now. That might not sound like a lot but it really adds up fast and by the time I go back to work I’m expecting to have between 250-300 ounces of milk saved up just from this. This product is durable and easy to wash and at a great price point!

The Haakaa breast pump has been a game-changer for me, but the Ladybug version takes it to another level! It’s wearable, so I can slip it into my bra and go about my day hands-free, without worrying about spills or having to hold the pump in place. It’s just as easy to clean and as effective as the original, but the added portability and discreet design make it my top choice. I highly recommend the Ladybug Haakaa for any breastfeeding moms looking for even more convenience!

The media could not be loaded. It feels great. It’s sturdy, strong, but soft enough for a breast to be comfortable. Love design of it. Can travel with it easily! I get lots of milk from this especially while I’m also nursing on the opposite side. Good price for the product. Recommend!

Game changer for building supply & having the ability to pump on the go!This is my first time using this (not my first kid)... I am a return-to-work mom who gives only breast milk for the first year.My first, i was struggling to build up supply and get ahead of baby to make enough bottles for daycare the next day. Forget being gone for a few days....BUT THIS TIME I HAVE THIS PUMP. You guys! I have so much milk in week 5 that we had to BUY A FREEZER for it. I could go away for weeks and know my baby is fed! Amazing!!!Ok, I probably won’t go away for weeks and I will likely end up donating to a NICU, but I feel SO much better about the return to work!*Be sure to flip the top inside out, then squeeze, then flip top flat against your breast.... look this up if it doesn’t make sense. It is important to do it right!*Be careful how much you squeeze - too much suction sustained can bust capillaries. I had to learn the hard way - blood in the milk. Cleared up immediately but I now use this pump less often (more frequent regular pump when I am home).

This new 5 oz pump has been my savior! I am already a Milk overproducer before getting this product, so when I found this product and started using it, I fell in love!! It is so easy and I can get out 3-6oz in no more than 6 min, especially when I’m full. My baby is 4.5 months old and starting to sleep thru the night and I have been waking up painfully engorged, so out of convenience and ease, I put this on and there you go! 15 min later, I can go to sleep a happy and comfy mommy! Also, I’m back to work and thankfully I can pump there And I use an electric pump but at the end of the day when it’s time to pump but I wanna go home, I’ll put this on in the car and calmly drive home haha! I will buy this for all of my new mama friendsEdit: just bought another one and the old version was sent to me.... not good grip at all and keeps sliding off.. not happy. I have to keep adjusting to keep the suction. Super annoying. Wish I could return it and be guaranteed to get the new version...
