Great Product and a Great Price
Overall, very satisfied with this product. It has the quiet sweep hand technology and keeps good time. The Glow on the hands and numbers lasts for hours and hours, allowing the time to be visible almost the entire night, but not too bright that It will bother you while you sleep. After having it for a few months, there was an incident where it started making an odd noise, almost like ticking of the seconds hand, which wasn't supposed to happen, but it went away after a few hours. I do not use the alarm function, but I have read that it is located on the back of the clock and difficult to reach. Also, the alarm is supposedly very loud, but read the other reviews for a better analysis on the alarm. As a standard clock, it works wonders. Overall, for the price and the style, I would recommend this product.

Keeps great time (so far!)
This is a basic, no frills alarm clock. It's quiet, the numbers have a soft glow at night, the light & snooze works & the alarm has woken me on time in the few weeks I've owned it. You do have to pick up the clock to shut off the alarm in the back and set it at night with the switch on the back. Set the time clockwise, set the alarm COUNTER clockwise like the instructions say. I think a few people had a problem with that. It is loud for my needs, you can hear it in the next room over, unless your room is huge maybe. I plan on painting the sides to match my room when I redecorate, since I couldn't find a "pretty" and reasonably priced clock that had these functions. A good buy.

runs on c batteries
Pretty decent clock. Like just about every other "silent" analog alarm clock that I've come across, it isn't 100% silent. But it is silent enough as long as you don't place it within 1 ft of your ear. The alarm is a bell sound. The one thing that peeves me off about this clock is that I can't really open it up to oil the gears inside to make it quieter. There is an alarm knob on the back which seems to be impossible to take off without breaking something. Looks like some sort of push split system that the back knob is put on, which you need some sort of special tool to push together. Tried tweezers, but I don't have tweezers that are that thin and long enough... Update: I managed to get the back knob off, by using a pair of pliers and an allen wrench. You push down the knob of the split pin with the allen wrench that is just barely smaller than the size of the hole, and then push up on the other side with a pair of pliers. After you get the back knob off, then you can take the back cover off. I will say that if you want to oil the gears, then you are in for one heck of a job. This clock has 2 to 3 times as many gears as I've seen on other clocks, so is not for the faint of heart. And those 2 sets of gears are separated by a circuit board. The upper gears I couldn't totally separate from the top part and the circuit board.. so that the only way to get at the gears was with a set of long tweezers. Anyway, I did manage to quiet down the bell a little bit by putting a piece of wood inside the bell area, and also putting duct tape on the contact point. I'm not sure whether or not oiling the main clock gear actually quieted anything or not. Maybe it did by a little bit. Still seems a little noisier than another clock that I have that runs on AA batteries. Probably because this thing has so many gears.

Nice, handsome, solid clock
Plastic can either look and feel cheap and flimsy or it can accent controls, etc., in a luxury automobile. This clock falls into latter category and for the price that makes it a great buy. It's keeping perfect time so far but have only had it a few days so time will tell. My nightstand clock "test" has always been can I tell what time it is without putting on my glasses. I can. The only less than stellar function is the night light by pushing down on the top of clock. It makes the clock face readable but the lighting is somewhat cheesy and I've seen better. But again, not for the price. And it's Amazon prime, so there.

Disappointing.
Nice styling and worked great for a while. It eventually started doing two things that are total deal breakers: 1) running slow - changing the battery helped for a while, but not for long; 2) while there is no ticking, eventually a quiet grinding noise developed, loud enough to be bothersome for someone who had hoped for silence. Unfortunately I fooled around with it long enough that it was no longer returnable. The other thing I wasn't fond of is the bell alarm without ascending volume, which made it unusable for the bedroom. (should have paid closer attention to the description) I'd decided to move it to another room but when it stopped keeping accurate time that was the end.

Nice design & SILENT
I've only had this clock for a few weeks, but so far it's working great. Nice design, numbers really glow in the dark, and it's easy to set up. The second hand moves in a continuous circle, not the "tick, tick" motion with most clocks. This makes it completely SILENT. The only thing I might change is the material and/or weight of the item. It's still nice looking, but it's made entirely of plastic, not metal or glass.

It's almost a good joke
This product is very cheaply made. I doubt it's a Seiko product. It works well enough to show the time due to it's clear and big face. However, the time is usually 15 or more behind, so frequent re-setting is required (yes, the battery is fresh). Now, the alarm feature was discontinued in my household after 2 or 3 uses. It is the epitome of an unpleasant awakening. The alarm is extremely shrill (for someone with regular hearing). Funny enough, even when the alarm is turned off, the clock makes a loud clicking noise at the indicated alarm time. So, with very good hearing, that alone may suffice to wake someone up. Needless to say, it can't be turned off. Not a worthwhile product.

Loud and Clear
Too loud, sounds like waking up in a fire station. Nice design though.
