A future classic and well worthy of a place in your fragrance line up
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with this new fragrance from Guy Laroche. I purchased blind having only ever used the more traditional Drakkar Noir previously. I liked this alternative scent so figured it was worth a punt and to take a chance on if I would like this version of the old classic just as much. As it turns out, it was a great decision and this delightful fragrance is one I will now keep in my vanity cupboard line-up going forward. The bottle design itself is pretty bland compared to some more iconic designer brands out there at the moment, however, that being said, I am not a collector of bottles, nor will I be showing this off on a shelf so do I really care too much what a bottle that no-one will see looks like? In all honesty no. What I care about is what the juicy stuff inside smells like, how it makes me feel when wearing it, and how long it lasts for throughout the day. This particular bottle is the 100ml version which (at time of review) is currently priced at £37. That's a cracking price for what you are actually getting here. The scent reminds me a little of Cool Water by Davidoff albeit this scent I feel is a little stronger. Obviously it all depends on how much you use but, a little tends to go a long way here. That brings me on nicely to longevity. A good deep spray of this stuff in the morning initially feels a little too much, but it tones down reasonably quickly and after 20 - 30 minutes or so it eases up and gently caresses my nasal passages for the remainder of the day. When I finally return home from a hard day at the office, my partner says she can still smell the last vestiges of fragrance on me. No-one at work has complained that I have bathed in the stuff either, despite me asking for reassurance from some very honest co-workers. Thats a good thing and means that the balance of fragrances in Drakkar Bleu is just right.Would I recommend it? Hell yes! It's a great scent and sure to be another classic. As an everyday fragrance it is just about perfect. Don't think about it any longer, just get it now, you won't be disappointed!

Simple, refined, easy to enjoy wearing, and a perfectly respectable, clean-smelling fragrance.
Delivering a pleasant aroma, this 100ml Guy Laroche EAU DE PARFUM smells quite pleasant, although I would be hard pressed to describe this as purely a masculine fragrance, as I believe this is fragrant enough to be used as a unisex parfum, as it's certainly not as strong as I anticipated. However, that being said, although a little pricey, this smells nice, and my partner likes this... a lot.Cool and crisp, this delivers a refreshing fragrance that evokes a classic barbershop experience, almost a timeless classic scent from a different era...This is a nice scent, long-lasting and persistent, but in my opinion, it does capture the essence of my grandfather's shaving sink, more so than the power of a stormy sea! That's NOT a negative, please don't misunderstand me here, but for a few seconds, this fragrance took me back to a load of forgotten childhood memories, to an era that has long since passed. It's nice... it encompasses a distinct, clean fragrance and delivers a smell that recreates the essence of sitting in the old-time barbershop as a child, a time capsule for my childhood. It's simple, it's refined, it's certainly easy to enjoy wearing, and to conclude, it's a fragrance that my partner has taken a liking to; therefore, if he likes this fragrance, then enough said, and that makes this fragrance a winner, in my book. This is a perfectly respectable, clean-smelling fragrance for summer, with a moderate to long-lasting projection, and I think, will suit both masculine and feminine genders, as it's an easy fragrance for a woman to pull off too!To conclude, I like this scent. With just a few sprays, it accomplishes the goal of smelling clean and fresh, delivering a nicely wearable, confident, humble, and unoffensive EAU DE PARFUM.Due to all of the above, I thank you for the opportunity to try this product, and on behalf of my partner, I am very happy indeed to recommend this Guy Laroche Drakkar Bleu, an Iconic Designer Fragrance.

Fresh scent with aqua tones.
I would describe this as a sophisticated fragrance that looks and smells so much more expensive than it is.It is suitable for a wide age range because my teenage boys enjoy wearing it as much as my husband. They say the fragrance is suited to both day wear and evening as they have used it for college and work aswell as nights out and the scent is fresh and long lasting.I particularly like the design of the bottle as some can be quite gimmicky and awkward to get a good grip but this is a solidly shaped, elegant looking bottle that is comfortable to hold and easy to spray. The bottle contains 100ml of the fragrance and obviously a light mist will produce a lighter scent and using more will create a stronger and more intense scent….both smell amazing from a mum/wife’s point of view :)If I was to compare it to any other scent, it would probably be Cool Water by Davidoff due to the aqua tones but I would rate Drakkar Bleu better on account of its longevity and it being a more classy scent. This product is definitely deserving of a full 5 stars because its beautiful aesthetic and lasting, gorgeous smell is on par with fragrances triple the price so a great value buy that I would happily recommend to my fellow shoppers.
