Could not hear that well on it. Nice phone, but could not use it, unfortunately.

This phone is for my elderly Mother, and was the third phone I got for her because she was not comfortable with the performance of the others. This phone is fantastic. I think the primary reason is its style. She can pick up the receiver and dial the number, just like she did before the wireless type phones were around. When you get older and things are much harder to do, it is very difficult to also get used to the modern wireless telephone, where she would have trouble remembering to press a button to speak and press a button to disconnect. The quality is great and she can hear all conversations now. I highly recommend this phone for the elderly.

Too difficult for an elderly person to set up. Didn't help once set up.

This is the second amplified phone I've gotten for my 91 year old mother. The first one (from a different company) worked fine for months then went kaput overnight. Mom prefers this one because of the caller id and she can read the time on it. The flashing light to know when the phone is ringing is also bigger. It uses three rechargeable batteries for back up if the electricity goes off.

We had a phone similar to this that my 96 year old Mom used for her main means of communication but the speaker stopped working. She uses the talking phone book to dial out since she can't manage the buttons to dial anymore. This phone was the only one with both the talking caller ID AND talking phone book. It is loud enough for her to hear and she loves the 5 quick dial buttons. We are going through a learning curve with the phone book since if you get into the menu you have to use an exit button to back out. Not being able to read the LCD display at all, this is very confusing to her and we've had to reprogram a few phonebook entries that have accidentally gotten edited.

bad sound quality

This replaced my approximately 10 year old clear sounds phone. I am very deaf and when I got this new phone, it was like heaven again to be able to talk to people again. To be able to hear them clearly. Before I received my new phone, people had to make phone calls for me because I was unable to understand and hear on a land phone. Thank-you, thankyou!!!!!!!!
