I needed dextrose to replace some or most regular sugar when creating ice cream mixes for my Ninja Creami, since dextrose is more hydrophilic and less sweet than the same quantity of sugar. This powder worked fine. I also like that it is in a rigid container rather than pouch — easier to store. Plus I never would have associated dextrose with sausages; always good to learn something new.
