Yes, these are on straws with generous layer of Tamarind. Another fun fact for this type of candy is, in Mexico its called -'Popote' meaning straw. Recently I had a customer come into our store and asked for just 'Popote' without mentioning any brand, unfortunately our Spanish speaking sales person was out and we were puzzled by the ask. I returned the customer saying we don't carry Popote. That's when I learned that this kind of candy irrespective of brand will be called Popote=Straw.
